The silence most likely stems from the devs going into crunch mode, trying to complete something (Most likely 1.3).
I noticed yesterday that Rattati suddenly had a revival on twitter, going through old posts and favoriting them, most likely pointing to his absence due to heavy workload, and that he is now done with whatever he was working on, allowing him to catch up on the things he missed on social media.

I can confirm he said that.
