Different psn accounts are hosted at different sites. I've had issues in the past where my psn was unable to connect. Yet wife's worked fine on same ps3. Fearing a ban from some unknown hiccup, I called scea. After a bit of call center formalities, we discovered that the location that held my information was down ATM. Or perhaps the pipeline out from its particular area. Why one would have accounts distributed like that, I have no idea.... All morning Netflix has been giving me psn on ps3. I swapped to ps4 and its fine. As is my phone, the two towers, wife's tablet, and the Wii. All streaming Netflix no hiccups. Ps3 is randomly giving me crap still. 5-25 mins. While the PS4 has the same network name it is a totally separate system. Ps4 has its own servers, its own code, and so on. If they flipped the switch on the PS3 network no one on the PS4 would notice.
