NO, Really I didn't. Wow I can't believe it, almost EVERY map has lag now. What the Hell is going on? I have friends I squad with everyday wanting to leave this game because of all the B.S. that is going on. I was even in a decent match when all of a sudden the screen went black then I was back in the merc quarters with a notification of "the battle you were in is no longer available". What kind of crap is that? I just don't understand what happened. I know back in the day it wasn't like this.
I cannot understand why lag and hit detection are never fixed.............. Oh but wait.......... The mighty 1.3 MAY come out someday and fix everything. LOLOLOLOLOLOL Yeah Right........ |

I had a match yesterday. Enemy team was at half armor. I was at 14/5 with 2100 wp. The next guy had 800wp. Destroyed 4 sicas. Was on my 5th when I got removed from battle. Didn't idle once. I been getting dcd a lot lately.
I was really looking forward to that payout and sp.

You are not alone. I get the frame rate suck most of the time. Faction warfare has become almost unplayable because of it.

I've been boycotting this game for many months. You're all late to the party.

Exact opposite for me, after a ssd and reinstall I have been good. Figures crossed, but still some jumping and hit detection is still poor. The end load out still pisses me off the worst though.

When you experience lag try to pay attention if anyone is joining the match if it's a lag spike out of nowhere and then take note of the players on both teams when you can. Whitsy and I ran a handful of acquisition matches last night that were laggy, some laggy here and there throughout the match and others that started out just fine but would have a lag spike eventually and be laggy the rest of the match.
Whitsy noticed that after the lag spikes, the game would tell us certain players had joined (can't remember their names but Whitsy can tell you who they are). We'd get one and he'd say so and so's must of joined and sure enough their names would appear in the corner as joining the match. After that we started paying attention to who was already in the matches that started off laggy and lo & behold the same damn people were in it.
Correlation doesn't imply causation but consistently reoccurring coincidences aren't really coincidences.
Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks.

There's been several updates for EVE lately due to recent release so would not be surprised lag and other DUST issues caused by nobody on DUST side reacting to those changes. Long story short: Shanghai is not asleep at the wheel; it seems they jumped out of the driver seat and tucked and rolled at end of October. At least we had 12 Days of DUST as a goodbye present.

Correlation doesn't imply causation but consistently reoccurring coincidences aren't really coincidences. Region Locking, it's what would solve this. It would help alleviate the problem and is somewhat a part of the solution but it wouldn't solve it on its own. People have sh!t internet all over the world, I bet there's even some in my town. Picking a region shouldn't be an option to begin with but people shouldn't be locked to their region. Average ping should be the biggest factor in matchmaking so that for example people that take 50ms to communicate with the server are playing against people close that and people that take 300ms are playing against people close to that regardless of what region they're in. This of course is likely to be one of those "bite the bullet" situations because it'll turn some matches into ghost towns which could end up badly but I think it's a risk worth taking.
Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks.
