Yeah! Now you're talking! I have over 100mill ISK basicly because I don't spend it on anything and I use BPOs for everything including pubs and FW. Yeah, I die a lot, but I kill a lot, too, and it costs me nothing.
People get so used to the crutch of good fits I reckon they lose something of their skills by running ADV and PRO gear all the time. I'd rather die a lot and learn to use BPO gear than endlessly be spending ISK on replacing fits I lost trying to "git gud" the easy way. I pick my battles. I can't stand up to even a PRO Scout in a BPO, but I can hold my own against other BPOs. But some of them kill me too, I can tell from their fighting style that they know what they're doing and they're just using MLT gear in pubs.
For the record, an APEX BPO really isn't that much better than a STARTER fit. Yes, it has Basic level gear but that's not much better than MLT really. In fact, I find my Frontline-CA with its ARR better than my Rasetsu with its RR.... |

Yep. My Gal alt with her MLT BPO fitted Raven scout or the Frontline-GA and Medic-GA, all with their MLT BPO AR is just awesome. |

The real value of APEX comes from how much space you have to create custom fits, and the APEX suits also benefit from racial bonuses...
Yes, but if you do as I do and run the suit as a BPO with no custom mods, it's not that much better. I do put MLT BPO shield extenders on some of my BPO suits, but that's the only mods I make. |

Yep. That's the problem with running MLT BPOs. You can't stand up to the proto stompers. I usually leave the match if I encounter proto stomping, or organised squads when my team is a bunch of twits.
I see no point in participating as the cannon fodder in a stomp, I'm not going to boost their WP because my team is useless. The usual reason I leave a match is I'm sick of the uselessness of my own team. I usually solo, so this is my only way of exercising choice over teammates. |
