from the eve side you add contacts, u can set them a standing so when when you bring up their info you see it,
Why not add that in dust..
Everytime someone adds somebody they can give a - | = | + standing with them, that way a person can sort his contacts by the standings and when bringing up someone's info below their PSN reads the standings and "notes" given to them by other ppl with an overall general standing
Scammers can be flagged and marked.
Corp hopers can be known.
Legit traders can be identified
""laggers"" can be identified
You'll know how good a person can be or who he is in relation to you by the standings he has with other players (I,e your associates acquaintances and friends alike)
You'll who's suspicious, who's a possible threat and friends too sooo why not

That's not really how Standing Works EVE side to be honest.
Standing usually is just a personal representation of how friendly or unfriendly you are with another corporation and affects nothing more than your own displays.

Im referring to how similar it can be to the eve side but it could a representation of people in regards of others, wouldn't it help you out if a corpmate downvoted a person your trying to buy from?

Then that should be represented on a profile or medium outside of the game. Definitely not within it.
