castba wrote:PC or the next Nintendo machine No one takes Nintendo seriously anymore. By the time the next one comes out, PS/XB will release a better machine a year later.
That said, just look at the games available. I like PS Exclusives, so I stick with them. I do have a PC, though. I, also, have a Wii U, which I got for Smash.

There's also reportedly less cheating on consoles. For a ton of free and cheap games, PC is the way to go. Plus, there are alot of mods for popular games if you want to try something different in a familiar title. On the negative side (besides more online cheating), you have to update your PC's hardware/software to run some of the most current games which normally adds additional costs. Actually, consoles are no more difficult to hack than that of a PC as long as the user is savy enough. They are practically PC-lite as far as I can see. No one really bothers to, and the network guys are arguably better at handling the community.
Older games on PC are full of hackers, older games on consoles either don't have a server anymore, or are completely dead, so no one cares for hackers. Because of this, one may be inclined to say there are more hackers on PC, simply because there are more games that are still "alive".

That's like saying no one bothers to hack Apple computers anymore which can't possibly be any further from the truth. Just because something is a console doesn't mean no one bothers to hack it. I have seen people make a business hacking Wii consoles for christ sake. PS: Even current gen consoles can suffer from hackers. I never said it doesn't happen. I said it is less likely to happen.

PS4 and X1 offers exclusives, yes. But both are not particularly worthy enough to warrant a sole purchase. PS4 is pumping more indie games that you can play on PC on outdated hardware. But some of their exclusives are cool. X1 is getting my attention with their exclusives like that Quantum Shift and GOW.
But honestly both consoles don't offer anything drop dead exciting that warrants the insane cultist like fanboyism that permeates any comment section that discusses the two.
You can never go wrong with PC and that's just a fact. Actually, that's an opinion.
A far as I can tell, Ratchet and Clank is still not available on PC.
