At the same time it made me mildly curious as to where other players were when the moments that defined their Dust experience and what those were. I was there when alongside representatives of PIE Inc, EoN, Hellstorm Inc, and Lokun Listamenn mercenary corporations and alliances alongside our stead fast militia allies crushed the traditional Minmatar held dominance in the Bleak Lands, Devoid, Metropolis, and Heimatar. When I consider Dust 514 like that even half finished after these three years.... it almost seems worth it.
I'll never forget Caldari Prime. That was the first time I felt a true connection with the universe. Even though we couldn't even officially pick a side at the time. I still enjoyed the game up until the point they added aim assist. From there it went downhill for me. Then everyone and their mother could hipfire you into oblivion. Gone were the days when you actually had to aim down the sight to hit something.
I was one of the few actual Murder Medics. Outfitted with everything to help my team. Logi Ck.0 w/Duvalle or Gek, Adv or Proto nanite injector, proto repair tool, and at least a k9 nanohive.
Those were the good ol days. I haven't played dust in over a year, but I still jump on the forums to see who's still kicking. If they ever port to PC I might join back up full time. Until then Star Citizen and Space Engineers are my space sims.

P.S. If you're still in contact with any of the old Lokun/D6I guys tell them I said hello. Mechoj, Halador, Shyeer, ect.

Just noticed you're still in Woodgrain Atari. I enjoyed playing with you all that time ago. Since posting in here I actually found Shyeer on Star Citizen by accident. He started Lokun on there. I'm going to try and contact him and see how it's going.

I heard Mechoj was still around from ConantheCimmerian who is I recall was CEO of KnightzoftheRound. He's not flying in PIE with us amongst other things. Xin was online a lot I heard, and Raya lurk here every now and then. Nothing from Shyeer sadly. He was the best CEO I've had in EVE/Dust. My lord how could I forget Xin Tiger and his heavy machinegun talent. Also this is Shyeer on Star Citizen https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/profile/410067/Shyeer

One last story. Super short. This is the moment that makes me laugh to this day, even when just typing it out. Some discription of the guy this involves. Trist O'Phate was a hilarious guy who basically was Funsies manifested into a person.
Trist and I were working our way up the super buggy terrain of Manus Peak. (When it actually was a giant mountain.) There's a few redberries up there sniping as was usual with an uplink behind them. We get up there sniper rifles in hand and I take out the uplink. We both shot one of the guys at the same time almost killing him. Then an epic fight bashing back in forth with the two reds who would soon be dead.
As many will remember from Chromosome there was only one way up to the tip of Manus Peak and it involved a lot of jumping. Well this day the Jumping gods of Dust were not in Trist favor. As I watched Trist start jumping up he suddenly did a backflip and ragdolled dead right in front of me. I only wish I could remember what he said that made it that much more hilarious. Killed by the glitchy ground and weirdness of that mountain.
I'm sure it's not as funny to others, but like all inside jokes. I was There
Edit: Also I have proof he remembers you. He even has you in one of the old War Stories I have saved on my computer. I'm sure it's online still, I'll look it up
Editx2: Found it http://dustsearch.com/thread/142044/page/1

Now that Dust is ending I really need to get it working on my PS3. Must spend all my ISK!
You know even though Dust and CCP made me extremely angry when the whole Fanfest thing happened; I still want to play the PC port.
I'm ready when you are CCP, looking forward to the future.

The laser orbital was the best, especially when used by a destroyer fitted with all 8 guns for laser.
