I think one of the universal FPS tropes is that Medics and Engineers seem to have access to Shotguns and SMG's. At least every game that has had that class that I have played in my life has.
It's not a good idea really but I find when Logi-ing I don't have my weapon out anyway. Too many repairs needing to be done.

Biggest flaw in the game IMO. I liked the class based game-play. The idea that people really want to create their own classes doesn't always feel quite right to me. The original battlefields had a lot of what I wanted in the while the new one has pretty graphics and lovely sounds but nothing in the way of content I enjoy.
I wish there was a Starwars Battlefront: The Old Republic.

True.... but damn if they aren't just an annoyance that infantry kinda don't really deserve when everyone in the game has AV.

Not that the Minmatar should be the repair tool logistics suit....but then we don't have a shield transferrance tool.
