No-one-ganks like-Gaston Corrosive Synergy RUST415 763	Posted - 2016.01.03 18:53:00 - [1] - Quote So I don't know how long this has been a thing, but, once a dropship's shields are gone, laser rifles do 100% damage to the armor. A dropship bumped a wall slightly and my pumped up Laser Rifle brought it down from 900 armor to 0 in seconds flat. I once even had a dropship that showed my laser rifle did 196% damage to it. Sure enough, that thing went ******* down. It happens so quickly I'm not able to take a picture of it, but if I see another dropship I'll grab my phone. The thought that Dust 514 may one day be the game we dreamed it to be. It fills you with Determination!

On Mini meat grinder (Drop entrance or Front door) I threw down a Major Flux to kill the enemys equipment for a Push -Gets Python Damage +75 -Gets Python Destruction +50 (I think it is or maybe 75) -Gets Kill +50. Incubus is far more user friendly and able to take hits. If you have a gunner, the Grimmy is amazing. But you can't expect a dropship like the python to get more DPS against infantry targets and have greater mobility without also being more vulnerable in return. That would be madness. Personally I'd say the python balance is fine as is. It just costs too damn much for the likelihood of it being shot down. Vehicles in general cost too much. I have taken out Pythons with a Flux and a few rounds of a Rail Rifle.. Clearly balanced When you consider the lack of regen delay and impact OHK on Armour dropships Does your back hurt ? having your head that far up there can't be doing it any favours.

Indeed. A lower armor count making it easier to destroy is fine, but lacking the natural resistance that other vehicles have seems like a bug, not a feature. It didn't used to be that way. Pre-teen insults will get you nowhere. Fact of the matter is ADS can be used as a second skin for slayers. After they get shot down, the pilot can simply hop out and continue his rampage. And prior to being shot down, they can do an incredible amount of damage to a team with virtually zero support. Before you start puffing your chest at being able to throw a flux at a shield based dropship, perhaps you should be considering why they were stupid enough to fly that low in the first place and if they shouldn't be punished for such reckless behavior? If they were within throw range, maybe they deserve to be shot down. Are they shot down too easily? Yes, but only if ISK is the balancing factor. Otherwise they are perfect.
