I'm pretty sure that is why he put Legion in quotes. Legion is now synonymous with the dumping of a player base to build what they want on the platform they want. That is precisely why they dropped the trademark. The Eve: Legion trademark wass so horribly tarnished thanks to the backlash of FF14. Can you imagine them trying to launch a game only to have people googling it and finding the incredible amount of complaining and what not that was poured on.

I think the one and only good thing that came out of Fanfest 14 was the absolute destruction of SOONGäó

Ultimately you have the highest expectations of all. Believing any update will be horrible enough to snap people out of their stockholm syndrome is a little bit foolish in my opinion.

Legion was not an IP and was not sold to anyone. You can't just call one word an IP and try to sell it to someone.
"Eve: Legion" was the trademark which was dropped because horrible PR solidly ruined that name for ever.

Once that holiday block is over and the Dust (hehe) has settled, we might actually get some news.
You heard it here first folks, news will not be until fanfest. The Chinese holiday block runs all the way through the end of February so there we go.

What it comes down to is if 1.3 were to be released in the next couple of weeks before the holidays really kick in there would be nobody to fix the inevitable bugs that come with each patch.

I think most people are so sick of the merc quarters that they would rather not thing about any addition to it.
Depending on the game mode you play the merc quarters is more or less 50% of your entire Dust experience. Most would rather that not be the case as oppose to just improving the MQ.
