If you got the joke, you'd recognize that all of the tank drivers claim that forges are no-skill easy mode for AV.
It was a cheap shot at an old argument.

That's been called out as no-skill easy as well.
Like I said, it's a cheap shot at an argument three years old and actually predating my presence in beta.

After 1.7, forges had their charge time and damage needed (albeit slightly) and vehicles, especially tanks, got a massive buff to hp and ehp, which was the cause of the Tankageddon where infantry were basically slapped around by us vehicle pilots. Since then we have gradually been bringing vehicle/AV balance back to a stable state, especially after Rattati joined the team.
I'm guessing this is a callback to those times when a proto forge could kill any tank in 3 hits or less, let alone lavs and dropships.
Even today, you get the tankers who claim "If you want to easily kill a tank, get a forge gun"
Because why not?
