, Okay, since it's New YearsGǪ
Nearly the last match I played in 2015 (my sweetie's PS3 is on the fritz now, so we are both out of Dust until he buys a replacementGǪ..):
The red team tried a very reliable strategy in a Dom match: Turn the panel Red early in the match, then immediately flood the map with HAVs and Lavs driven by capable players, so that the blues can't even reach the area and organize a counter-assault on the panel. The blues HAVE to spend time getting the enemy vehicles under control--and lose the time they need to turn the panel back to Blue.
My character is only skilled at using AV-grenades---and AV grenades have a cool secret (throw an AV-nade on the ground, and it sits and waits like a landmine for any red vehicle that comes by--even if the original thrower got killed 18 seconds ago).
SoGǪ I ran into an open area that I saw was "owned" by One shield-tanked HAV (impossible to kill with even all 3 of my adv grenades)
AND
Two harassing Baloch-Lavs (expertly-driven like a murder taxi, and packed with passengers for hopping out and finishing off pesky P.C.C.'s like me).
I knew I would get killed--but I had to try to help turn this match around. 07 !!!!
I ignored the first Lav---it tried to run me over, but missed (I could see that driver--he had green eyes!). I had the HAV in my sight, and I wanted to run near enough to throw my 3 nades at him.
The HAV saw me running straight at him, and he shifted in reverse and backed away from me as I threw grenade-1 and grenade-2. Both nades landed in the darned street between the HAV and me.
The second Lav came at me, and I stood waiting in the street to die with greanade-3 in my hand (determined to make his victory a costly one)----AND suddenly a plasma ball came out of nowhere and SLAPPED the Lav off course before he could kill me and before ai had to waste grenade-3 on him. My fellow blues SAVED me--they LOVE me, they CARE (..-LOL, yeah, sure). The second Lav swerved away and sped off smoking. Whew!
With grenade-3 still in my hand, I looked at the HAV staring at me. With its shield-hardener glowing, not even worrying to shoot me cuz he knows I'm punk and can't hurt him at this distance,GǪthe HAV started charging me like a bull. I straightened my Gallente girdle, took five steps towards the HAV, angled upward, and got ready to throw Grenade-3 with the longest throw ever in Dust!
And that's when Lav-1 (the driver with the green eyes) doubled back and ran me over from behind(Lav kills Celesta Aungm = Celesta was a punk). I didn't even get a chance to at least peel 75+ damage off the HAVGǪ tears.
But the game said "Baloch Damage + 50 Kill + 50 Kill" for me. Wha?! In my death screen I watched a burning black Lav rwith two charred players in it roll over my clone corpse and slide 20 feet up the road. Did my AV-grenade kill him as he killed me? Did I succeed in throwing Grenade-3 and somehow the Lav that killed me INTERCEPTED the AV-nade in mid-air?
I don't know, because the charred Lav was moving so fast, that I watched it keep rolling till it rammed the oncoming HAV in the mouth, and what looked like Sica Damage 75+ showed up on the screen just before my death screen faded. Did the Lav collide with the HAV, and somehow credit ME with the damage? Or did the red HAV come forward enough to roll over grenade-1 or grenade-2 I threw earlier? Hurray!!
But while I was in the overhead map, picking a new respawn point, suddenly the message came up, "Sica Destruction + 50 Kill + 50 Kill", and I screamed with laughter! Hurray X 2!!! Did the HAV roll over grenade-2 after getting damaged by the Lav collision? No, that must have been grenade-1 that killed the vehicle after being damaged by grenade-2, and the burning Lav had nothing to do with itGǪ. No, wait, that can't be right can it---grenade-2 and grenade-1 couldn't kill a shield-tanked HAV on theirGǪ. oh fudge, YOU figure it out.
All I know is that it was raining WP like a slot machineGǪ.almost all of it AFTER Celesta Aungm was deceased. GLORIOUS!!!!!!
Incidentally, what does my abbreviation "P.C.C." stand for? It stands for ME. I'm a PCC: Plump, Cute, Coward. But in Eve DUST 514, even a Coward player can ruin your day--what a GAME!
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...
