This is getting more and more eerily similar to pre FF14 in all honesty.
I know you guys are probably just as frustrated by CCP imposing an iron curtain as well but it has reached a point where saying no news over and over is only having a negative effect.
Like I have said over and over the silence is just enabling rumor mongers and nay sayers that would prefer people move on from Dust. If hypothetically I were to tell some one that Dust is 100% dead and has been abandoned in favor of VR projects not only would the person I am saying that to have absolutely zero argument against that but a fair amount of evidence would actually fall on my side. This is bad for image, bad for player retention, bad for player spending, and all around bad for everyone involved.
At this rate by the time the silence breaks there will be so much bitterness festering among the community that anything short of we rebuilt the whole game and fixed every bug as well as finally abandoned server side hit detection in favor of p2p will have any lasting effect to disperse the negativity.
