GǪGǪ.
GǪGǪGǪGǪ..
GǪGǪGǪGǪGǪGǪGǪGǪ..
I can't believe all the people who posted here, including the CPM poster.
You know, there are times when this well-intentioned "forum" melts down into just a "Facebook" name-calling swamp. And there are times when communication and information are productive here.
But there are other times when sly individuals who are WAY cleverer than the mob of posters, decides to "use" the posters as marbles on the floor for his personal entertainment.
I won't say what my profession is, but it does put me in contact with kids, so I recognize when clever kids manipulate "the less malicious, less-aware" kids into disruptive noise.
In all your posts and passions, did you notice how the original author of this thread lit his fuse and never worried to post anything else afterwards. He satisfied his urge. He wanted to start a mob-disruption, and he figured he could herd you like a flock of sheep with just a single hit-n-run post of "bait words".
GǪ.And looks like he was right. A whole mob, that got played. In my "Roles of New Eden" thread, I forgot to include that, there are Scammers and Saboteurs in the FORUM as well. Not just in the game.
We could debate which Role the author was playing in his thread here. But more importantly, who are WE? Who ARE you?
CCP is too nice and professional and cautious a host to say it, but I have nothing to lose the way they might lose if they ask the question, so:
Who are you?
Who are you to come in THEIR house, and demand that they give you reasons why they decide to do anything they do?
This is a charming little leisure game where no player was ever forced to join, or is locked into a playing contract, or obligated to spend any money to learn this game. In a game like this the normal action of someone who objects to the game-designer is to uninstall or eject his gameGǪ and the normal action of someone who likes the game is to spend more time and money wearing out the console and the controller and smiling till your cheeks hurt.
GǪ.Getting addicted to a game you don't have some patience for, and clogging up the websites/customer-service/forums with commandments and demands, like a King who deserves justification from your serf, CCPGǪ. that describes a whole different kind of behavior, not the 'normal' behavior I've met in other multi-player games.
So you're gonna have to explain to me, what kind of weird new species of player are you? Who are you?
They put a game out there for free (it's just a danged leisure game, not a pharmacist's prescription, not cancer treatment, not gov't law, AND it's for FREE). So who are you to keep demanding reasons from them as if Dust could somehow ever be more YOUR investment more than it is THEIR investment?
It's the Christmas holiday period, and many career people won't be (aren't supposed to be) working in their chairs this month,GǪ but you refuse to have any understanding of how things work this time of year,GǪ so who are you?
Every time (I mean EVERY) the devs have mapped a plan or given preliminary announcement of "new developments", 8 out of 10 of us use it for stone-throwing, lampooning, phantom-quarterbacking, and vile-commentary---NOT for so called "productive, helpful, feedback". But you pretend that you can't see how silence is such a sensible strategy for working with forum mobs like us,GǪ so who are you?
Our parents were "obligated" to respond to us every time we repeatedly ask "are we there yet--are we there yet" every half hour,GǪ but the host in someone's house is never obligated to answer that question ever. Who are you to try to make the host of this game responsible to you and answerable to you the way your mothers were?
Who are you to demand and expect justifications from someone for changing the paint color or when the furniture's going to be moved around in the house, when THEY are the Host/Owner, and you're just a guest? (Whether you 'bought' an extra pillow for your bed or notGǪ)
Constant and repeated behavior like this is just the sign of Addicts, not game-players. And I don't mean that in the fun healthy way, I mean it as an unhealthy addiction.
Snap out of this "they owe me" routine, and be Game-PlayersGǪ
And stop getting "played" by some of these threads. You're not the first posters to fall for threads like this, but you got played "big time" by the fuse-lighter here--he wasted your effort, and wasted your points of view.
Just like, from a certain point of view, I know my words here were pretty much wasted.
