My little gift to the DUST 514 community and the folks supporting #PortDust514 over on Twitter. I wanted to up my game a bit and do something a bit more involved with my next art project, and while I'm still learning, I think it turned out pretty well.

Who knows, maybe if it gets ported, and they decide to change the name from Dust, they'll choose Phoenix. I would be ok with this.
The music is from the live recording on Surplus of Rare Artifacts when the Icelandic Symphony played at fanfest....hence the cough in the middle. It just happens to be the newest (and my favorite) arrangement of the song

Jadek put together an alternate version of the 'trailer' using the title screen music from the CODEX build. I actually got REALLY close to using this one but settled on Surplus of Rare Artifacts because that was the original intro music for DUST.
Either way, his version is very very cool. It's amazing how the shift in music gives it an entirely different feel. Check it out!

Hardly a professional artist. I'm a designer at a Solar Panel company, I just do art on the side for fun.

Well it is meant to mirror a similar style and tone to the original closed beta opening title sequence which was not entirely action-y.
