Yes, the network lag is really atrocious. I notice it's still there after I've dealt with the disk lag by buying a 12GB SuperSlim PS3 with flash memory drive.
The lag is at least 2 seconds. It works in favour of both sides, depending on circumstances. Basicly anyone who surprises anyone or shoots them in the back can just keep shooting for an inordinate amount of time (2s) before the other player even wakes up to the fact they're being hit. When it's you being hit, you can die almost before you even hear the first shot.
For the record, I'm in Australia, further away from the American server than the Mexicans or Sth Americans. And yet, I generally don't experience network lag with the rest of the world, other than when the Mexicans and Sth Americans are on.
I don't think having the Oceania server would have been of any benefit. Most people routinely connect to the American server to find matches. Automatic just tries to find them on the Asian server and just keeps searching forever. |

What I still don't understand is what benefit it is to them. Once everyone else in the game has left, there won't be anyone else left to wipe off the map! |
