So i made a YT channel a while back. I am now using it and uploading, once a week.
Unfortunately, i dont have a capture card, but luckly i can manage to record screen with phone pretty well so ill be uploading constantly.

i am trying to get rid of that wavy rainbow effect but other than that, the quality is pretty good for phone recording.
comment stuff youd like to see!- ill mostly be uploading gallente related stuff.

It's in 360p. Ick. Well you got placement of the camera right. The camera itself needs some checking out. What are you using to record?(as in what phone brand?)
The rainbow effect is either from lighting messing with your picture or your camera is being affected by the light envirement.
Try equalizing the light in the room you are playing in with the light level your TV puts out(the brightness setting.) Then making sure your camera is set for the appropriate white level and brightness(that should fix your effect.)
iPhone 5s, I recorded that video record in the morning. Only light was from tv. Blinds were closed. It was like... 7:40ish.

Newer tvs are adding in invisible features to the naked eye but when recored with lets say a camera or a phone it shows on the captured footage. Its kind of a way to stop people with phones and hd cameras from capturing and distributing copyrighted material. Obviously your doing no harm on dust 514 by capturing, but lets say its a brand new movie well thats the problem new tvs are trying to get rid of, by adding the rainbow effect and also entirely black screening some phones while recording. I wish i could find the link of the forum for you. I will keep looking there are solutions if this just happens to be what is going on on your end. Could you shoot me the TV model and name also the year. EDIT: Did this problem occur while capturing on your old tv?
Nah. On old tv, phone captured lots of hexagons.

And since its an iPhone(overpriced pos)(still has a semi decent camera) it should capture properly. Then tweak your phones settings till it records properly.

If you dont like it, mute it and put on your own. Everyone has different tastes. Honestly its not as poor quality as I thought it would be for an iphone recording. I used Legos to make a little stand and I record with iPhone and pass to Mac.
Only reason I put music is cuz I don't record with volume and it gets a bit wierd 5 minutes in with no sound.
And my channel, my music lol. I like dubstep.

Lol. They are just there so I decided I make use of them. They gone quite handy for many things actually. Use what ever you have to record.
I used the Legos to build a small base for phone to keep up straight and then I put it on top of a cylinder piggy bank, on top of a partially opened binder, which all together fortunately and coincidentally are the same height as the center of tv. Just need to tweak and adjust lighting to get rid of the rainbow.

I'm still trying to get rid of that wavy rainbow effect but other than that, quality is great for a phone in my opinion.
I got a new tv so j can record better as well. Go check the other 2 videos. The quality was horrendous.
