Let's just clear one thing right up:

Dust will not end up on a console. It's just not gonna happen. Consoles in general are a waste of money and another way to milk gamers for all their worth. $10 a month for PSN features PS3 had by default? Like Destiny - pay for the game on PS3, pay for the expansions, pay for a PS4 - lose features I already had (like PvP game modes) unless I pay $10 a month for PS Plus. That's fuxing horse malarkey.

Dust will go to the PC, if it goes anywhere. Then it doesn't have to be ported or moved around in the future. I'd be willing to bet half the reason this game never met its goals was because of the technical limitations of the PS3.

WHY WOULD CCP EVEN WANT TO ENTERTAIN THE IDEA OF THIS HAPPENING AGAIN?

I'll gladly eat my words if I'm wrong, but PC is the master race. It makes the most sense business wise for long running IP such as New Eden. CCP is spreading out into that universe with alternative titles like Valkyrie and Gunjack, both on alternatives to current gaming mediums. They've done their exploring into different platforms - if Dust or Legion is announced it will be on the PC, safe and sound sitting next to EVE.

Oh and to the OP:

Unless this is a port, and not a new game, I can see some assets being transferred. Otherwise it would be in the best interest of all players to do a full reset/wipe.

Keep it, reset it, I'm easy. Doesn't matter either way.

But this "I paid for it!" entitlement bs has got to go.

I've dropped more $ than most, and I know damn good and well: Those dollars are gone. CCP owes me nothing.

In reality those who want SP transferred most likely are worried about how they will run anything but officer to pad their stats . Really though, if you want to be feared in New Eden: Molden Heath (or the coldersack of it), you can prove it with everyone running militia suits. There would be no new-player quitting or frustrated why they can't run prototype power cores on an amarr assault suit, or why they can't run that sneaky minmitar tank when he/she is...bevcause no one else would for the first few weeks (bring back 166k weekly SP).

This right here is the ignorance and arrogance of PC players.

Psplus isn't required for F2P games.
It was added so F2P games had a chance VS big name COD an BF type games.

Also Psplus doesn't cost 10$ a month it's 17.99$ for 3 months,or 49.99$ for a year.
AND you get 2 free games every month as well as discounts for the length of your membership,it isn't just "access to multiplayer" as you've said.

So,looking at it from an educated lens...
-Someone just got a PS4,it was expensive so they have 0 games. (As i did.)
-Look for F2P,avoiding paywalls that make them wait to play.
-Find Dust,play,become invested.
-Hmm,i can get the COD that's decreasing in fun year by year OR support the game i'm invested in...
-Obvious is obvious.

-Low on cash,can't buy a new 60$ title,spends 5$ on Dust for the same satisfaction.
