But there's one thing we actually should praise CCP for.
They've done a very good in job in balancing a good product with a fair monetization policy.
I've been playing a lot of games on Steam lately, and the trend towards DLC and microtransactions, a long with higher base game prices is disturbing.
The big companies are quickly moving towards a 'minimum content - maximum cost' philosiphy.
I got excited when 'Total War: Warhammer' was announced. But then I learned that even though the base game is $80 (CAD), that they are working on Day-1 DLC RACE PACKS, 6 months before release! Not only that, splitting the game into three full priced titles, charging $5 dollars extra to see blood in the game (wish I was kidding) etc. etc. The overall game will cost $300-$400 if you want everything. Never buying anything from Creative Assembly again. Can't reward these practices.
I got excited when Battlefront was announced, but now I see the fraction of the contet BF 2 had, the Day 1 DLC, the fact that they are working on sequels before the first game is finished etc. Never buying from EA again either.
Screw all these big companies.
Yes Dust has it's share of problems, but at least they care about their product, interact with the community, and have a reasonable monetization policy. Credit where it's due!

$10 cosmetic items are fine and dandy in a F2P game. You're not missing out by not having those things.
Micro-transactions are not OK when:
- They are essential to the overall game experience (specific guns, vehicles, maps) AND ESPECIALLY when you pay for the base game in the first place.
I hate DLC as much as anyone, believe me, but CCP are doing it responsibly.
