Like every supposed patch update we haven't been informed of until a week before release that ultimately became lackluster and no where near enough to spark out interest in the game again past two weeks? Anything like that? Look, I understand that this is meant to be somewhat of an apology to the community and it really isn't the fault of the CPM as much as it is from the commands of your CCP overlords but don't apologize unless something actually changes. The lack of transparency is simply inexcusable and even if 1.3 just so happens to be the patch good enough to force me to plug my PS3 back into the wall (which I very seriously doubt) that's still no excuse for how you've left this community in the dark and basically let it die without any further update on game progression. We all basically already know that anything done to this game will just be hospice care until CCP rolls out whatever the hell CCP Patriot leaked, and finding that out through a leak was already a massive kick in the groin to this community. I mean why the lack of transparency? What, are you afraid of corporate espionage or something? Because to me it seems like the main reason we haven't heard anything is because CCP is afraid of the reaction they get to any little thing they put out to our community. Just mull that over for a bit; they are afraid that we won't like what they tell us so their response is not to tell us. That's some wonderful third grade logic there. If your PS3 isn't plugged in how do you play Dust..? Oh..you don't.
Then take your negativity elsewhere please. I am personally so sick of hearing people ***** and complain when they don't currently play the game. I get it you feel wronged. Hurt somehow maybe?
Well show us on the doll where uncle CCP touched you.
Also go away. |

People going away is the last thing we need lol I just feel that he has already stated that he doesn't play anymore, therefore technically he already left Dust. I am now just requesting that he takes his opinion elsewhere, just like he has done with his gaming.
I just don't get it when people leave a game but stay here to continue spreading their toxic opinions. I think that everyone is inherently entitled to their opinion, but when your hanging on to something you obviously dislike just to bring that negativity and pile it on others. That's where I draw the line. |

Galm Fae wrote:Alright you got me there Darth, that was actually a very straightforward and genuine response and I'm glad you understand our frustration. The more you explain the more this seems like one of those 'I just work here' scenarios where no one in the CPM is to blame for the state of things.
It's just so disappointing that many of the CPM where elected with the intention of fixing this transparency issue and being better relays for the community and instead CCP is just using you lot as a focus group / figurehead for the community. This CPM, like the previous group, were elected to bridge the gap between CCP and the player base. Not to fix it. They have the same NDA as the last group, nothing has changed there and expecting that CCP would allow them to break that at all is simple ignorance. You want answers? Get involved in one of the many positive outlets. Bother CCP not our CPMs it's not their job to tell us what's coming, or when it's coming. |

That's where I draw the line. Well then I suppose #Port514 or deliberate boycotts mean nothing then. A boycott is a temporary halt of services or activities. Temporary. You stated your PS3 isn't even plugged in. That sounds more than temporary. And in regards to #PortDust514, most of us still actively play the game. Also it is a very positive outlet for our rage and displeasures regarding this game and CCP in general. I don't care that your voicing your opinion, I just find that a voice carries more weight when back by passion, than when it bellows anger. |

Galm Fae wrote:Dear lord Xvos, you realize I'm still a long time player of EVE right? I've also been spending the last several months gearing up a PC for Valkyrie and try to stay on top of all things CCP so you could say that in many ways I have a much greater investment in this title then people who simply continue to play DUST because it's a free-to-play title on a last-generation console and they can't afford to play Battlefront on a 980Ti. But this is all neither here nor there. I don't need to staple my balls to my lip to know it would be uncomfortable, and I don't need to spend another twenty dollars on skins to know that it's pointless given the state of DUST 514 and its inevitable port. Likewise the fact that I haven't played dust since October doesn't mean it would be any different playing it now, or magically makes my opinions invalid. Having addressed this, I don't care what your response is as it's clear that you're not worth explaining this to any further.
I've said what I needed to say, voiced my complaints, and am happy with the response I receive from the CPM. At this point the only purpose you serve is harshing the good vibes I was feeling off the tail of Darth's response. Thank you for your continued support and as someone who does support CCP and dust I believe your opinion does carry weight. Maybe certain information should be put forward so your comments aren't taken out of context. As someone with close to 2000$ USD invested in Dust alone, plus my eve stuff, plus other misc gear and sets - I know your pain in feeling left out of the information loop. I just don't understand the need for such negativity and pessimism when it is clear that CCP is making an effort to give us what we want. It's very clear that they are still working on dust even if the average player doesn't notice or is unwill no to do the proper research into what it is they are complaining about. My comments were not meant for you. Although they were directed at you they were a generalization. I meant no offense and was trying not to make it seem a personal attack, sorry for that. Like I said a voice has more weight with passion behind it. |

Not long ago Lightening put up a good post about how there are a lot of players still watching what is going on with Dust, and want something to come back to. A lot of people have given a lot of time and/or money to this game, and that investment doesn't magically evaporate when people stop playing for whatever reason. Likewise, there are plenty of people whose opinions were/are anything but helpful irrespective of how much they play. Someone like Spkr only voice opinions so biased that they can't even see how they are suggesting things that would completely break the game. The standard should not be whether or not, or for how long, someone plays/has played the game, but whether or not they can contribute to the discussion in a constructive manner. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I still don't see the need for people who don't play to constantly bring their negativity back and pile it on the rest of us. |
