Would Month to Month payments get Dust 514 on PS4? Or would it take an act of GOD to get this game over there? On the PS4 that is!

That's what I was trying to convey, having them port the game to PS4 then make it a month to month pay system where it cost you so much AUR for like a mercenary license, like they have for eve with the pilots license, something like that may get the AUR rolling. Hey CCP you can have that one for free  just get it done!

Basically you can play DUST for free on PC, but if you play EVE and link your account you would receive a set of items each month for your dust char as well as perhaps 25% passive SP gain. Items could be a special BPO set when you first sign up then each month after you could get 7day omega active booster. 20k AUR and a few disposables. EVE works out at about $17 a month ($35 60d GTC) so one sub for both games is quite a bargain plus it'd perhaps encourage some EVE players to give DUST a try as they get more for their money
Why cant there be both? Can look at it like Xbox one and PS4 is now like any other fps, just it would be PC Dust and PS4 Dust why draw a line in the sand? yeah yeah different networks so what you can have same chats channels now. So why not both, so what you will not be in the same fights as your corp m8's who cares, it ups the numbers of over all players, can my EvE guys come down and do dog fights now? And also shoot peeps in the face with anyone? NO well OK, why not go next gen gaming and kill peeps in space in ship and in dropsuits and down on the ground or in high orbit? Tell you what if i win the lottery I'll fully fund that for CCP for 35% of CCP's company or they can just man up and hire some kids right out of collage and quit F'ing around, with shanghai, birth place of the internet has tons of kids right out of collage just waiting to get hired, ISU

I like the concept just not the limits that would put on the game its self. That would make it PC, PC, and not PC, PS4

The last I know of is Final Fantasy charging subs. Even so, console players are not going to pay a monthly sub for not a widely known FPS shooter with loose connection to EVE. Majority of console players only know about EVE because gaming websites like to talk about ships that were destroyed and the cost of it in real world money or the espionage aspect. Especially a game where you can get scammed out a trade? Console players will feel that they paid for an experience that robbed them and complain. Not forgetting a free experience in PS2 and WarFrame. Monthly sub is the wrong straw to grasp at.
Well funny, peps are drop like flies now the point of the month to month is to pay for a rework, spit shine the game and re-release it fixed and bugs free or as best you can, and then put the game on PS4 with the op to port or not ether way don't matter to me, but doing what they are doing atm with not saying anything isn't the right course ether, but I do think there is a way to make it so the mercenary license would unlock more map's PC fights and give you the rights to buy higher level gear, it can still be free to play but access to basic only so a kind of meta lock out if you don't have a mercenary license to gain access to the gear.
You say what others want with no real idea if they do or don't, its well and good that's isn't what you want but don't just presume cuss it's console folks will not pay, just look at Defiance for a test model they have all 3, Xbox PS and PC then tell me no one will pay I just would like to see Dust live longer then the PS3 and if you have a better idea, lets hear it!

Less development hassle, no running to sony for approval for updates ect and easier to tie in with EVE as its on same platform. I think everyone needs to accept that PS4 is unlikely. For a start DUST514 has had extremely bad critical reception across the board, why would Sony allow it onto the ps4 in first place? Folk seem to forget that no matter if CCP develop it for PS4 or not. they have to be allowed to put it on the PS4 by Sony. Your best bet for anything anytime soon would be to move it to PC where all the EVE players are
And you work for Sony? I'm sorry I just don't see where your getting your information, if you have some insight where this is being said by someone from Sony they by all means please provide the link where they said they wouldn't take the game! If you cant provide, then its good to know your opinion! But as it stands its just that an opinion, and without any evidence, I have to believe the direct opposite of you in this case. I prefer to have a optimistic outlook that after Valkyrie, something will be said about what way CCP would like to go, unless CCP would like to say something now and before Valkyrie! I think they will hold their tongue's to not run off anyone just yet, but then again that is just my opinion!

That comes from familiarity of how difficult it is to publish games on consoles compared to PC's. PC is basicaly open platform, anyone can get a game design software or an editor, string something together and upload it somewhere. Consoles are a different story, a developer needs different licenses to develop on consoles that they do for PC, more red tape, more cost, more delays.
A good example is the Timesplitters rebrth/rewind game that was in development. I think it took 1-2yrs of too and fro'ing between the developers and sony and Cryengine licensee's to work out if they could develop it for PS4 as well as PC.
The PC version was basically a cryengine mod to recreate all the old Timesplitters maps and characters.
Sure CCP are getting their feet on the ground with VR, Gunjack appears to be doing wonders on Samsung VR and the early reveiws for Valkyrie are promising, but they're different games and different divisions of CCP just as DUST is a different team to EVE.
Just because Valkyrie is on PS4 doesn't automatically mean DUST or EVE will be and i think the playerbase are just setting themselves up for disappointment by hoping on a PS4 port..... Would i like to proven wrong? F**k yes! I'd love to see DUST moved to PS4 as well, hell i might have a reason to actually play my PS4 if it did, but until the devs conform or deny it i'm gonan assume any future will be on PC as its a far more cost effective and viable platform

I do concede that I myself have no first hand experience with this process, that being said if we are delusional where is the superior evidence saying we are wrong? And that your correct and we are all nuts and should stop talking about this?
