Considering the low percentage of players who actually stay, let alone buy Aurum, I bet CCP would make more. I thought from the start that it should have been a subscription system, similar to EvE. EvE has AUR too, so there's no reason it wouldn't have worked the same. But they wanted their microtransactions I guess, and the payback was no monthly subscriptions. I think monthly subscriptions would have instilled more commitment into the players.
Maybe..
But remember to add on another U.S. $5 to that bill just for using the PS network on PS4.
Who's the meanest, who's the prettiest, who's the baddest mofo low down around this town?

What CCP should do is allow us to use our own private servers to host smaller games with maybe 2 teams of 4. That way, even if it's not profitable and they no longer wish to maintain it- they can still own the rights, and we can still enjoy the game on our own servers. Until and if they ever decide to do more with it.
That way, there's no cost to them to maintain bandwidth or development, but they still own the rights should they ever decide to do more with it in the future.
Even if it's only on pc. It's still a win-win solution that would guarantee Dust lives on, even if it never improves.
Is that all you brought? How disappointing. I was hoping for a challenge.

If if it's only on pc. It's still a win-win solution that would guarantee Dust lives on, even if it never improves. Less lag?
Hence the 2 teams of 4. If your hardware can handle more without lag, then allow for larger sized teams.
Also, allowing us to reduce the texture and graphic details below the current minimum would help too. I'd still enjoy the game if the sky was a solid, non scrolling blue and flat yellow sand instead of having to see every tiny spec and glowing embers in the air. Perhaps a "Borderlands" style frame render? I dunno. But just private hosting smaller teams would help to reduce lag.

I think hosting peer 2peer servers might bring up cheating in the means of lag switches. Because I don't trust some of our community, being the conniving scum that they are, theyll take anyway they can to win. Dust would run a hell of a lot better if we didn't have all those weather effects. The duststorms are crazy enough demanding on the ps3's potato hardware as it is. Just turn those off and watch the frames jump up by like 4 frames. Maybe also cut off all that extra space in the redline that's fully rendered and put a instakill zone for anyone who tries to go that far and maybe less ps3s will die as well
I agree with you 100% percent. But sadly, the Dust devs seem to think making it look pretty is more important than making it play right.

I also think it's safe to say that 90% of Dust players could give a **** less about it being connected to Eve- at least in real time.
It's a dumb gimmick that does nothing to enhance gameplay, and if anything, I think it holds Dust back. Make it stand alone.
-Or- if they INSIST on that stupid gimmick, it doesn't need to sync in real time- it can upload data at the end of each battle.
Is that all you brought? How disappointing. I was hoping for a challenge.
