There is absolutely no point in Basic Frames, You idiots should petition to have them removed. As they are just paperweight. Free up some memory around here.

When my brother started, I was around 95 mil. He skilled basic to V just to have a competitive suit faster than the save for a role. Not to mention, cheaper.

He did well with it and was able to grind out a pro role. And was ready for it because he already leveled his core for basic.

Not to mention, it gives you a good taste for medium/heavy before you pick a role. The light gets you ready for how squishy scouts can be.

I have mine to V on cal M, just for another unique skin, as it were...

They ain't really cheaper and are require lvl 5 skills for proto... With no reward for doing so. Lvl 3 is sufficient enough to open up assault and logistics. The only thing its got for it is 2 equipment slots but you have to compromise for good utilization of them.

I have my basic heavy and basic medium suits to level 5.

They are more unique then these ignorant forumites put off.

Interesting idea but not really that useful.

Frames are obese, mounds of flesh with patchy chest hair on their manboobs. Even if I w-, errrr, 'they' were to have some small benefit no one would want one wrapped around themselves. It is by design. Rookie ships in EVE don't need more fitting simply because they aren't used.

The basic suits don't have much of a purpose anymore though. When you were expecting to get 320,000 SP a week, having basic suits was useful before you started spending far more into a specific suit. Nowadays even a beginner can get to basic specialist suits in a week or two so the frames don't have much point. If #PortDust514 goes through, I would want there to be more focus on the roles of the suits before you chose your race. Kind of like what the progression system was for Legion, though obviously not having that ridiculous part that in order to get a specific weapon you have to go down a certain suit tree.

Should be more like eve. Ya t1 frigate has bonuses, t2 frigates specialise and have more bonuses. Even if it was just a small cpu/pg bonus per level to fit them better. Meh whatever

Basic suits should be eliminated from the game.
