What's actually interesting about these pics, is that some of them seem to be on moons...
And it has an Rorqual floating above it...
This ship is built by ORE, which is also a major player in the current EVE event...
Very Tinfoily, but whatever.... |

Desties make sense here, since they where supposed to be the ships, that brin troops into battle in an early trailer.
Dreaming on, it would have been so cool, to spawn on a destie, and being brought into battle by a destie who has to breach plenetary blocades. And then fly to the surface (will never happen in eve) to deploy the dropships (the early ones in the trailer looked kinda cool.
But whatever... look what they do, they have pictures somewhere, and we start getting hooked again...

It's not an MCC, it's an EVE destroyer... you know, the shipclass that does orbitals the best (highest small turret count).
Destroyers have a good size for maybe being able to land on the planet or at least hover over them, like mccs.
Maaaaybe, they are doing a standalone game, where these things could land and enter the atmosphere... but only without an eve connection.

Destroyers would be cool, since they would be nice infiltrator units. Also if the drone bay could be used for breaching ships like in the fanfest 15 trailer.... Awesomeness...
It shall not get it's hopes up, or it gets the hose... |

The safest guess right now, is that these pictures where made for internal presentations. Doesn't matter if that was for a pitch towards investors or for other reasons. I highly doubt that we will see anything like this in a game anytime soon.
That CCP isn't even investing in market updates seems to show their lack of any work being done on this game whatsoever.
By now I doubt, that we'll see 1.3 to ever hit our consoles.
All in all... a lot of time wasted for broken promises... and a lackluster game. |

The more I think about the recent changes in the board of directors of CCP (early november) the more I think that we should not get our hopes up for anything!
Frame and Archduke seem to be the last guys to still work here... and Archduke is not a dev, but a gamemaster... (no offence)
The new guys on the board came with the money (investors from outside CCP). They invested in VR, because that's all hyped right now. From a management standpoint they couldn't care less about a failed game on an old console.
Think about it. We havn't heard of Rattati since late october. He probably wouldn't tell us lies, so he rather doesn't talk at all, or is told to shut up (nda and so on). Market updates are not happening anymore... these don't take to much effort, except some new skins so why are they not doing them anymore? We had an event, that was brought to us by the CPM... my guess is, that CCP would not have done anything, but the CPM asked them to do so for whatever reason... The christmas event will show, if there is still work done for dust, if the "presents" are standard aurum stuff from the market, then the effort put in there is minimal. If it's however special stuff that has not been in game before.... but I highly doubt that.
All in all, It would be no surprise, if the new influence in the board of directors, is insisting that CCP is focusing all workforce towards the VR projects, to maximize the potential profits from these projects.
Dust is not a part of that, and as far as I know, FPS shooters are not suited very well for VR conversion. So chances are pretty slim, that we will see a VR version of Dust (Not sure if I would like to play dust on VR...).
So don't get your hopes up like we did in the past (the bittervets) these hopes have been stomped into dust every single time!

What if....
they try to pull the stunt, of releasing a successor to Dust in VR...
Pilots would love it!
I don't know however if this will work for infantry... any thoughts? |

Nope not just yet (if at all)...
But since the Devs have turned pretty quiet, rumor mongering is going rampant (me being accused of it officially...)
But since we have nothing else to do right now... |
