Mine was a total 15000 damage to prototanks during a match , 0 wp ,
Base it on pure emotion
do not use "common" sense, that is actually rare on this forum and will confuse people

Over 100,000 Damage dealt to enemy assets in a single game, 11 tanks destroyed, all turrets off field, 32/2...... still went ISK negative.
I felt I was unbalanced and resulted in 16 other unfair WP payouts.

I agree with this. The point system is too simplistic. If it was based on damage dealt rather than kills, that would also take care of the other issue of how do you reward someone for taking out a proto rather than a basic. It would also deal with people "stealing" other people's kills - they would only get points for the damage they did, even if it was the last 10 HP. |

I went 2/27 (don't ask how) in my medic suit but still got first place.
This is unfair because I shouldn't have been able to do that good. |

I get unfair "first places" as well,
When my team gets protostomps I often get 1000 warpoints and come first because
I spam links with an Amarr logi

Get those too, get a bunch of team spawns and everywhere i look no blues are to be found. In a lot of my games once you break 700+ points your in first place by the end. Must be doing something wrong.

I see a few pairs of logis far behind in redline of which one had 0/0 and second with 3000+ wp and first at 11/0 and 4000+ wp

i dont understand how the OP is not getting vehicle damage war points.
if i'm redlined shooting **** with my forge i usually make between 400-1000wp just from damage, no kills or destructions.
im not sure on exact numbers but each vehicle has a set ammount of hp (extra hp or hardners do not affect this) that u have to remove in a certain ammount of time to get your damage points.
i think maybe u just need to do more damage in a shorter space.
stack some damage mods?

if they got hardners on u get less/none, if they stack hp you get more.

Bare with me for this , If I drop a certain %hp of a vehicle I get damage wp .... but if vehicle has hardners on the %hp dropped is less since it takes less damage.
The reason you don't get wp on a double hardner tank is cuz the %hp dropped is too miniscule .... even w/ a fg's whole clip u can't drop over 1000 armour
I have taken damage wp from dual hardners by a modded breach fg's shot on the tanks weak point on the rear , dropped about 900 armour off of a 3100 armour madruk gv0.

The damage you deal is a total of potential firepower that registered on a target
But this all damage is not received since thr weapons have different effect on armour and shield . The damage dealt may be what you deal overall but the recied damage is only the ammount of hp taken from him .... 1000 damage to a dua hardner can be as low as 300
This may be the reason ypu didn't get the damage wp

it is a fixed number based on a percentage of the vehicles unmoddified base hp.

You have to be is a squad to get any wp from a scanner which is pretty dump I agree and needs bonus from whole team after a few small nerfs for obvious stabalizing of the imaginable OP Logi

Maybe because the damage he did did not result in a kill.
Chances are the tank repped up to full, and was destroyed up at a later stage.

Anytime I ever got into a battle partway over, and still tried to help my team win.
Nothing like getting 60k ISK as a reward for your efforts even though I was in the top half of the board while only playing part of a game and losing 4 or more 23k k suits.
This is one reason why people leave matches or simply don't play.

I believe I found your answer. According to the patch notes from warlords 1.0 http://dust514.com/news/2015/01/warlords-1.0-overview-patch-notes
"Veteran players that do not achieve a minimum amount of War Points will receive no Skill Points for a Battle to prevent exploits."
So it appears 'working as intended'
