LinkZen in this game comes from understanding that not everyone will be happy, so just run whatever the hell you want and stop whining about what other people run. In my personal opinion, anything allowed by game rules that aren't considered cheats, hacks, or exploits are all fair game. I haven't whined about anything since and in all honesty, its a far better mindset to have. I agree with this. If it's allowed, it's fair game. There are no scrubby tactics. There is using what is best for you.
Jumping + Explosives is actually a lot harder to use effectively than it seems. One, your range game is horrible. Two, jumping that high leaves you incredibly vulnerable to anyone who's looking at you. Three, the second you jump, every player has painted a huge target on your back.

With that being said, I just finished a match on my alt running basic / frontline gear and we were playing against these guys
1. Juan2000RX TROL (Mass Driver + Jumpy) 2. Ivan Xrminador27 (Mass Driver + Jumpy) 3. Beninho gamez (Freedom Mass Driver + Jumpy) 4. Alex 95121 (Plasma Cannon + Jumpy) 5. trrfh toljh (Mass Driver) 6. Master Kalvo 7. miligo jp 8. LuisGS18 (Mass Driver + Jumpy) 9. Dust 514 t 10. spec corral (Plasma Cannon + Jumpy) 11. Pemac net (Allotek Plasma Cannon) 12. miguelcool13 13. pollo huevos -
The match went like this;
We reached the objective first, got the hack and the match was really fun we kept the hack but we were dying some and they were dying some and I was doing pretty well with my alt and basic / frontline gear, but then the tide changed! We were assault by 4 jumpy splash damage weapon users and at that point, I just sort of sat back and watched.
We had then their MCC totally down to its shield and were up by 14 clones but when the mass drivers began to appear and jumpy suits and plasma cannons, the numbers quickly changed! They got the hack and kept it and cloned us out by 48 clones!
MASS DRIVERS PLASMA CANNONS JUMPY SUITS
It's easy mode. They said "oh crap we're losing time to be cheap" and I've never seen so many jumpy mass driver players at one time and jumpy plasma cannon players at one time it looked like a child's birthday party and all the kids were jumping in a ball pit!
CCP REALLY?
Just because you run around with a shotgun or an explosive splash damage weapon doesn't make you a good player, in my opinion it makes you a chump!

Let's say CCP had a competition, the winner got a special dropsuit that made you invincible and unable to be killed and 'ol Michael Epic won it' You would **** and moan and whine and cry and complain at scream and shout about how that was unfair and blah blah blah Then your entire theory about that article would be shot to hell in a hand basket! Learn to think for yourself dude and stop being a sheep....I mean all Dust 514 flaming aside, that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen on this forums, one idiot quoting another idiots idiotic article about idiocy! A) That's hardly comparable. B) I'd ***** and moan for about as long as it took for me to figure out how to not engage an enemy I can't defeat.

The y-axis on a controller does not allow for the reaction speed necessary - no matter how good you are. It's broken. Period. Go under him. When you jump you can only alter your arc so much. Simply run under the jump guy, and he'll have to spend a bunch of time twisting, and turning to be able to shoot you.

As someone who continues to have activity in this game, and a member of what was once one of the best teams in MH I can say that I agree with Ghost Kaisar almost completely. Even if he's a bit out of touch with what's current there's a certain amount of skill that some players have that enable them to have decent opinions based on combination of past, and passive knowledge of the game. Besides, he clearly does have experience dealing with jumpy players.
I would also like to acknowledge that myos are quite costly to run on your fits, and take up high slots. Valuable slots that could either be used for shield tanking, damage mods, or scan enhancers. They are simply another play style. One that really isn't any worse than any other. If I end up having to deal with a jumper I have a set of different tactics at my own disposal. I wouldn't fight a laser assault the same way I fight a shotgun assault. I don't expect to fight a jumper the same way I fight a camper.

All it's good for is killing. Good luck taking the points with that thing. Not to mention that the rest of us would gain access to our old tanks. My triple damage mod tank would destroy yours. Nothing survives more than two shots from that.
The problem is that people keep coming up with hypothetical scenarios, but then don't take into account that anyone has access to jump mods provided they skill into them. Just like anyone can tank, or be a perma-scan Gal logi.
