Personally I adore using the Shotgun on a Gallente Commando. Since I'm proto'd out in that skill tree, my Militia Shotgun does proto damage. And that isn't counting on damage mods I put into the suit.
Here is my fit:
Federation 'Centurion' Commando
Modules:
2x Complex Precision Enhancers
3x Complex Profile Dampeners
Weapons:
1x Militia Shotgun Blueprint
1x 'Exile' Assault Rifle

33 dB Scan Precision
25ish dB Scan Profile = Very sneaky commando with a deadly first shot.

I call it the "Fat Ghost". And I've seen a handful of people out there using the combo as well. Very effective, and very fun.

How do you all play while in this fit? Do you play like scouts or just try to get into qcb anyway possible?
CQB whenever possible, but if the need arises for close-to-middle range fighting, the Assault Rifle is there to help, ALSO packing proto damage.

Bet it's slow as sh!t tho, you don't have much stamina and you gain it even slower.
The fit worked well when staying and defending an objective, since you can use corners and hallways to evade and intercept the enemy, who is none the wiser for that sneaky fat guy with a boomstick around the corner.
For moving between objectives and active stamina-taxing pursuits, this suit is ineffective.
