First of all, more bloody players.
Secondly, It does not betray the console players like Rouge Wedding. (For those who do not know, they kind of pissed us off by announcing Project Legion... which I feel safe to say, flopped.) It also allows those EVE players who want to be DUST bunnies to get down here and play without buying a PS4.

I support launching it on PS4 and PC within close proximity. Say 3 - 5 months. Just to keep it all fine and dandy with the entire community.

First of all, CCP has zero experience in ps4 (see how this worked with dust and ps3?) and apart from that ps4 will also be obsolete in few years..

Second of all, "betraying the console players" - you mean the 300 people that still play dust?
Besides, if they port to ps4 then you will say they are "betraying ps3 owners"

And lastly - if aiming is not so important in FPS games why all of console versions have auto-aim? ;)

Accuracy is everything in a fps Accuracy whilst adjusting to the flow of battle is everything. I can shoot like crazy with a mouse, but I move like Tiny tim. I can shoot like semi crazy with analogs, but I more than make up for it with movement. Even on PC shooters where all the so called "big boys" played....I would hop in lobbies and hold my own, so much so that it was a surprise that I was using a controller after the fact. Its more about what you're comfortable with. I could never get my fat hands to properly move on a keyboard, its just not what I do. Hell naw...to the naw naw naw...hell to the naw.

A mouse is going to by definition be more accurate at aiming than a controller. That will ultimately make a mouse a better aiming device.

Thus why dust 514 was made, to expand 1 great game to another console in a different way. Earlier games from doom onwards used mouse but the now universal mouse aim x/y and kbd 'wasd' forward/backward/strafe only became standard around the time of quake 2, about the same time as the PS1 got the first dual stick controller (dual shock came slightly later and is just a dual stick with vibration). With raw input and no aim assist mouse/kbd is superior every time, but kills are easier on dust with DS due to aim assist and some horrible mouse interpretation of turn rate that was brought in to gimp mice some time ago. Exception is long range forging or possibly sniping where fine control of aim is still superior with mouse. Basically you can make either better/worse depending on how the software is setup to handle it, dust handled that by assisting DS and gimping mouse; if you cripple one thing and assist another it proves the crippled item is inherently superior. So it doesn't matter what platform is used as far as input is concerned. Both PS4 and PC support pads and mice and the software can be 'balanced' as it is currently.

This is because so many developers complained about the cell structure of the PS3 and Sony actually listened. Basically the PS4 is just a PC that is totally uniform across the board. This means no cross optimizing to various graphics cards and CPU combos. The betrayal was in the fact that we all fell for "laser focused on PS3" and "10 year road map". It really has nothing to do with exactly what the platform is. 2 years later it is simply time for a move off of the PS3 as it has run its course, unfortunately that is with next to no progress being made. Not sure where aiming not being important came from but we all know it is and we also know that aim assist is meant to make up for the finer precision which controllers do not have.
