I got this idea playing to get a key on my alt, witch I only use to get some isk and exp gear...
The warbarge thing is the key to NPE!
Idea:
Once you finish the academy you unlock the newbie ammo production center. Lets say it starts on lvl 20
Giving the newbie 20% dmg bonus.
Oce the little thing gets 1 million SP the center goes down to lvl 19, giving 19% bonus.
2 mill = lvl 18 = 18%
3mill sp = lvl 17 = 17 % DMG bonus.
and so on
Off course this will have to be balanced by someone a little more gifted than me, but this is easy to fix.
Imagine new players actually having a chance, sticking around..... 
I have no idea how high this thing has to start, but buffing and nerfing it for a year or so would tell us ;)
I say we start it on 50%, giving officerstompers like me a challenge.... |

This is literally the worst idea I've ever heard. I mean, I'm sorry but its just terrible.
What that would do is cause everyone to shelve their mains and remake new characters and roll around in militia gear shooting everyone with high damage + damage mods as they skilled them up, which would be super fast.
That would also bring a new wave of nightmare mass driver players because if they could splash you with 30-40% damage mods, that's all that would happen.
This idea is terrible dude....just awful. Sorry bro, better luck next time.

The idea is great, think about it!
Imagine if starter fits can put out almost as much damage as an proto player with proto wpn.
The proto dude still gets:
More HP
More regen
More Speed
More range on wpn
Faster reload
Better ewar
Jumpy mods
The newbie has worse aim, map knowlege, tactick and friends.... So it is still inn for a rough ride, but at least it will have a chance.
If someone wants to try to fight a pc with a slight dmg bonus to a basic/militia fits they are very welcome. |

What about limit pubs to mlt/std/advanced gear only

Sorry, ZymposieR, I have to agree with the others. This is not a good idea. It would be better to separate newbies from veterans by gear like Postapo said.

I was against it, but after few games where i was with newbos and other side was protoons i think maybe it can be good for sake of militia boykos.

I mean i was against it before, but it looks like everything better than adv.gear should go to PC and FW.
Because honestly how to balance this.
It is difficult and with lag and other nonsence ever more hard.
Maybe if scotty will have something like tier filter?!

It doesnt help because advantage of better gear is more viable.
I tried yesterday few games on Standarts and even with triplet of krins you still do not have chance against protoons squads.
I mean honestly i tried my best and with FoTM of today (gallass+ar) boyko it is helvetian place for newbos.

It's lacking good matchmaking. There's literally nothing but protos ganging up against scrubs
