So l stopped playing back in September of 2013 when shield tanked Caldari Assaults were all the rage. What is the FOTM now? |

Right now the FotM is GalAss, you suit hopping *****. Pick your kool-aid and stick with it. You aren't allowed to enjoy more than one flavor.
Also hi, and welcome back. Just curious, how much passive SP did you get over all that time?

stick to the cal suits. shields are strong as f*ck now with no drawbacks while armor suits get sh*t on for daring to put so much as one normal plate on cause CCP >.>

Thanks for the welcome back, i am currently patching. I just remembered I played a little in the summer of 2014 and rolled cal scout so I wont actually have two years of passive. But I will let ya know when I get on |

Everyone seems to like rail rifles. I see ARRs and RRs on all sorts of suits that probably shouldn't have them, but they're good enough they work anyway. New bonuses make them better on CalAss suits, though. |

If you want to skill into GalAss, they have a new bonus to the Assault Rifle, which grants them a RoF bonus. I thinks it's a 15% bonus when maxed out. Otherwise, Rail Rifles are indeed pretty popular at the moment, and CalAss are getting a new bonus to them, as well, which reduces kick per level. Not sure by how much. Scrambler Rifles got a bit of a nerf in terms of heat buildup.
I think all rifles across the board got brought closer together in terms of range, so I think Scrambler Rifles got slight range nerfs, and Combat Rifles got slight range buffs. I'm not sure if Rail Rifles and Assault Rifles got brought down or up respectively, or if they're still supposed to be 'best at their range'.

FOTM is whatever you want it to be. For once most stuff in the game is actually balanced, If we could only get rid of the stupid jumpy myo's then Dust would be getting to a point of being enjoyable to play. Thats kinda the only annoying thing holding it back atm.
Since you left a lot has changed but if you had caldari assaults all trained then take em for a test run. the new bonus to rail rifle kick has helped a lot in addition to the shield buffs. S**ts in a real good place for dust

i think if they upped the HP given by reactive plates by a small amount it'd bring it more inline. only bout 5-10hps per plate but it'd do a lot to help keep mobility. either that or assault suits get an additional role bonus to reduce movement penalty of armour plates per level as well as the PG/CPU reduction bonus
