Arkombine logo The Arkombine are a splinter group of disillusioned clone soldiers. Betrayed by the nations they swore to serve, they now seek independence and a way out of mercenary life. Their ranks are comprised of clone soldiers from all four of the major factions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=7&v=ZyYs4sdBTvk
The stations were then boarded and secured by Arkombine mercenaries. Lina Ambre went on to report that, according to a statement released by the Upwell Consortium, the main objective of the attack was "to return control of the stations, and ORE itself, to the rightful owner and founder of ORE, Yani Sar Arteu."
The Upwell Consortium was only recently founded by a group of New EdenGÇÖs leading industrial corporations, comprising of Chemal Tech, Eifyr & Co., Intaki Bank, Mordu's Legion, Ytiri, and Zoar & Sons, with Yani Sar Arteu as Chairman of the board. The consortium will focus on infrastructure construction, notably the newly announced Astrahus, Fortizar and Keepstar Citadel product line.
The report ended by stating that ORE corporation is expected to announce later today that it will join the Upwell Consortium as a full partner.
Citadels have been a long time coming, with many developer blogs, talks at EVE Vegas, and now even in-game news items leading up to their release. The announcement of the Citadel product line on November 25, also under Lina Ambre's byline, hinted at the events in today's Scope video. While it is unclear what CCP plans to do next with the Upwell Consortium storyline, it seems their efforts at building player anticipation for the new structures are only just beginning. |

LOL Interior spaces are not the problem.
Giant open maps eating up tons of memory for no reason are a problem.
Making all 32 people a separate model in the PS3 ram along with null cannon models, CRUs, Supply Depots, and whatever I am missing there are a problem.
Terribly ineffective lighting systems are a problem.
Basically terrible planning and execution are the problem and have been from the start. No amount of system resources is going to make up for that.
My only hope is that after many talks of "boarding parties" in the recent months we will see Legion unveiled at fanfest 16. Honestly if we are still sitting in silence after then I will have abandoned New Eden entirely in favor of supporting companies that actually know how to treat the people that spend money on their products.
At this point I only log into Eve or Dust just to say hello to a few friends that have not moved to the PS4. I only come here to the forums praying that some information has gotten leaked or maybe CCP has decided to wise up and use words instead of allowing rumor mongers to run rampant with despair.

Fully interior maps would be amazing.
Minimized modeling with higher attention to actual detail.
More controllable lighting scenarios. No more making interiors of sockets depend on "natural" lighting from the giant memory sucking sky boxes.
Easier spawn placements which are close and keep the match moving fast no matter what. We will just say no more AFKing in the MCC 700 meters from the nearest enemy.
Better multi tier setup ability making dedicated roles more viable.

These videos are usually done to promote new content in a lore driven way.
Is it fair to assume that this is not the case at all as far as the Dust link goes?
It's ok, won't flip a table over it but I'd just like that put out there so everyone is clear on it.

In terms of Dust it is a very fair assumption. The PS3 is too far gone for them to expect some crazy new move to be profitable.
In terms of it being hints for a new game I am torn. It was widely stated after the Legion announcement that no link would be pursued from the start in favor of focusing on making a "good game".
Fanfest 16 will mark two years since the infamous FF14 and well over a year since the iron curtain was drawn tight on development of Legion. For CCP to think they can keep people totally in the dark for that long and with people switching daily to next gen consoles would be absolutely naive.
Attempting to go past FF16 without something being said about what they are going to do in terms of a FPS would probably be the cherry on top of the mismanagement which has been the entire life of this game.
I have never seen a company so able to get followers that are so loyal along with mistreating them almost as badly as they possibly can. To be clear I am not talking about the Dust team including but not limited to Rattati and Frame but about upper levels of CCP starting from Rouge and going all the way up to Hilmar. They should all be thanking Rattati beyond belief for the fact that this game is still alive and has in some form turned profitable even while they did everything they could to kill off the game through what would seem to be an absolute lack of resources, a total shut out to a future after making the game solely based on its future, and among that silence pumping out products even from the studio that is meant to be working on Dust or the new FPS.

I will once more use the example of Starhawk that runs at 1080p and I believe 60fps with maps similar to the size of Manus Peak and the ability to ******* deploy buildings onto the map in real time.
Plus both air and ground vehicles.
The PS3 is not the problem with Dust. A foundation of bad code is the problem with Dust.

For the record, Rouge gets a lot of undeserved flack. Hilmar as well gets a lot more flack than he deserves, especially for the FF14 debacle. Fact of the matter is that when you have a company of several hundred people, the CEO and EP aren't always going to be the shot callers. Unfortunately Rouge and Hilmar were the public faces at the time, so they received the blame.

I'm sorry, but that is some weak sauce justification.
If the CEO isn't a shot caller, he isn't the CEO. If the EP isn't in charge of his project, he isn't an EP.
Do you really expect people to drink the kool-aid along with you and blame a coder for what happened at ff14?
The CEO and EP got let off easy for the blame they got.

I am not even talking about flack for the FF14 debacle. Certain employees of CCP even continued to bad mouth Dust even after FF14 during the time that CCP was making some odd attempt to pump up Legion which was supposedly at the time just an idea.
To enforce total silence after that on a future for well over a year now (counting since the Legion forums went quiet) and chopping resources is an absolute slap in the face to the everyone that has supported this game. Hilmar is the CEO and the buck stops with him. No CEO at any company with a board would even still have a job at this point if you really break down everything that has gone down at CCP in the past 6 or 7 years.

For the record Rouge took control over the entire Shanghai studio at the time they set it on fire. He got just as burned as the rest of the player base but has not since managed certain aspects well. If I had to venture a guess i would say that his hands are very much tied by the upper levels of CCP just like Rattati and everyone else.

Lol. Sure.
For the record, companies do have a hierarchy. It isn't just CEO and Employee. Even most fast food franchises have Franchise Owner > General Manager > Assistant Manager/Supervisor > Lead > Employee. You can't seriously expect that the Franchise Owner would be in charge of every nuance.

The hierarchy here is quite simple.
Board manages CCP > Hilmar runs CCP day to day operations > Rouge Runs CCP Shanghai > Rattati runs Dust (basically, not sure on the official side there).
If you are seriously trying to tell me that the head of a company does not have a meeting directly with the man running one of a few of his studios and that the man running the studio does not meet with at least one person that interacts with the community then I think we found the problem.
Your justification does not even make sense because we are not talking about the management of french fries getting burned. We are talking about an entire player base getting dumped on and the man on top of the VERY short ladder only contributing to the problems.
Just so everyone knows.

Just joined the board of directors at CCP and will be a part of the above mentioned hierarchy in the form of reviewing Hilmar's management of day to day operations after making a substantial investment.

We aren't talking about every nuance though are we?
We are talking about a substantial investment in a new product. Are you trying to claim that only technicians and team leads knew about Legion?
Someone made the decision to pull dust staff to work on legion and it wasn't a bloody team lead.
If the EP was wholly ignorant of what was going on underneath him he should be fired for incompetence.
Then again, your description of leadership being completely uninvolved and careless regarding future product development fits nicely with that Guardian article from last year, so maybe we shouldn't blame them for fanfest, just for being awful at their jobs.
I get that you are trying to perform damage control, but please don't insult the people who you are alleged to represent by assuming they are stupid enough to assent to the idea that the CEO and EP didn't know what was going on.
