Too many ********/pathetic people amongst the playerbase and one major problem with CCP.
In Pubs I see people run Proto/Officer Gear whenever they see newberries but run crap gear when they see they are up against players with a decent level of skill. Then when someone suggests leveling out the playing field for Pubs so that low SP newberries could have a better playing experience the ******** come out (some don't even play the game anymore) and complain.
I am also getting tired of Veterans who are hung up on the great players of the past to such an extent that they talk **** or look down upon the great players of today. To me this is the most mind blowingly pathetic characteristic I see in way too many players. It's like listening to a bunch of old people who start off everything they say with "back in my day" and then finish their statement with some condescending ******* remark.
As for CCP, I have a big problem with how little they care about people being scammed in this game. I understand CCP is all about trying to create content for the game but allowing scamming to the degree that it is at is absolute ********. CCP could have worked to implement the same type of trading system that you see in Eve but instead they put together a very simple trading system that allows scamming which in turn brings about very negative consequences.
CCP needs to realize that many members of the playerbase are putting in the effort to better NPE so that hopefully the playerbase can grow. Anytime a newberry gets scammed, because CCP allows this and does nothing to mitigate the issue, CCP is not only harming the growth of this game but is essentially saying '**** you and your efforts' to those who are trying to better NPE. |

My reasoning for losing interest in Dust isn't the game itself or the dev's. Sure there are things that they could fix that would make the game better but they aren't the main reason in my opinion.
The real reason is the players.
The players "worth their salt" simply follow the FOTM or let blues take bullets for them while they K/D farm. (Players currently playing. Not old n' true vets)
The players camp up high to avoid an actual fight on the point
The players spam grenades to avoid a fight.
The bad players follow the "good players" and aspire to become like them rather than their own merc
The "newer players" want help but refuse to listen
The Blues in pub matches should almost all be in a sandbox mode fighting AI because they need it
The players prefer to camp in the red line with a Rail Rifle rather than pushing out
The players quit matches after seeing the enemy team
The players go to the forums and wine about anything that can find, from Jump mods to re's and then back to alpha damage weapons.
o7 I look forward to seeing why you are/have losing/lost interest in Dust. Right. I seen you guys totally r@pe a team 140 to 26 clones. You wonder why and your corp and many others are just stomping. Maybe once you have the point switching to basic might help the other team to engage more rather than tring to survive the next opponent. If CCP didnt show KDR cept for end of a battle like Destiny does then that too might help but technically its already to late. A skunk rule should apply and end the matches early if one team is dominating the field. It would quit wasteing a lot of my time. No wonder people leave a battle. Screw the game if its not gunna be fun to play unless your on the winning team. Its very very rare to find a match to have fun in and still lose the battle or win but just barely. There are to many things that hinder positive game play.
I'm honestly against the removal of KDR. I would rather people learn how to correctly read and interpret a KDR as well as realize that there are other stats in this game, some of which carry more weight than a KDR. CCP could help this by listing separate KDRs for the different roles as well as Factions a person runs in battle, and by listing more stats such as ISK Efficiency and WPs Earned Per Minute.
I am also against the "skunk rule" because I hate giving up and I will be extremely ****** off if a match I am playing is cut short because a bunch of other people decide to quit instead of using the *** whipping as an opportunity to learn to adapt and to figure out different ways to counter the changing conditions of a battle.

I have another reason I am losing interest in this game.
I am seriously getting tired of this ******** about squads getting priority in getting a match.
My favorite gamemode is Acquisition but everytime I get home from work and try to get into an Acquisition match I find myself averaging about 1 match an hour, and sometimes that one match isn't even a full match.
Tonight I was able to get into an Acquisition match that was halfway over within 3 minutes of searching but since then I have not been able to get into any other Acquisition match.
I wouldn't mind joining a squad that is willing to run Acquisition but how the **** do I find that squad? Anytime I try to squad up in Pubs I usually get stuck with people who also want to play Domination and usually when those people see that they are up against people better than them they end up quitting or hiding in the redline the whole match instead of actually ******* trying.
I'm definitely not in the mood to play Skirmish since I have been playing a **** load of FW over the past 4 days and Ambush matches not only end too ******* quickly but most of the people I find myself teamed up with have zero ******* idea how to execute basic ******* strategy.
Hey, CCP...
INCREASE THE CLONE COUNT IN AMBUSH TO 150 FOR ***** SAKE
and
STOP TREATING SOLO PLAYERS LIKE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS

Pretty bold assumptions to make, but you will be happy to learn, incorrect ones. Not that you'll take my word for it, and there is no way for me to really reassure you by any other means without breaking NDA in some way, and even then... oh well, why waste my time? Have a lovely day.
What kind of inside information do you have on this game that you can talk about? Do you have any information that can explain why I have to play the waiting game for several hours just to try to get into a match?
I get home from work and I can get into a full Acquisition match within a few minutes of searching but once that match is over I feel like the game bans me from playing anymore Acquisition. I highly doubt that all the people in the initial match I was able to get into up and decided to stop playing Acquisition all at once.
This is happening to me pretty much every single day, Monday thru Thursday.
For this to happen to me as frequently as it does (4 consecutive days every week) makes no sense to me. Tonight over a span of two hours of queuing Acquisition I was only able to get into one match and it wasn't even a full match. |

Alcina Nektaria wrote:Nirwanda Vaughns wrote:also its moved over to a more Pay to Win mode now that the Lab doesn't produce officer weapons. Now the only way to get a reasonable amount of any kind of officer gear is from strongboxes, yes we can get it from EOM salvage but really how often does that happen these days? If someone has an extra $10 a week to spend on opening strongboxes then they will get far more officer gear than someone who isn't. CCP in their own words have said that the officer gear is very powerful which is why they removed it from the lab. Thankfully though DUST is at such a stage that not many people are gonna be spending that $10 a week cos they've moved on to better pastures, but then there are some tryhards who feel the need to 'be better' than everyone and will splash the cash.
Also though i think we should just be able to trade all items, the PS3 (and thus dust) life is coming to an end. This holiday season more players will be treated to an XB1 or PS4 and our playerbase will shrink, its always a good sign that a console is all but done with when the latest FIFA/NBA/NFL/COD is either missed or scaled back and i think that CCP should just let us trade all our goods we have that may be on alts or from friends who no longer play ect and just let us go out with a huge bang. all them AUR modules and items everyone has just sitting in assets n the hope we'll be able to trade them soon, all the other bpos and boosters ect. just lets all have a bloody good old time splashing the isk and burning through everything we have lol The playerbase actually won't shrink. Logic states it will flourish (potentially anyway) Last year Sony built a PS3 factory/warehouse in Brazil. There is a strong number of the population in Brazil that has moved into a classification of sort of upper middle class-ish. What this means is that more PS3's will be bought this holiday season in Brazil, increasing the presence and population in the Latin-American community. Why do you think our numbers have been pretty steady since last year? There was a massive drop in numbers from where they were at, but they've held steady for quite some time. Just food for thought.
So you're telling me the lag is going to get worse? |
