Slatted plating- armor resistance module 5% basic 8% advanced 10% prototype.
Reasoning? To add a high slot armor module, like the shield regulator for the shields. I was thinking about the same CPU/ PG as the reactive plates. Oh, and of course, this item would receive a stacking penalty. |

Would give armour tankers something to choose other than damage mods.

10% per module is way too much, even for proto. Slap those things on a Min or Am assault and you have a mobile tank. Put them on an AmSent and you have a less mobile, slightly more literal tank. I think maybe 6% per might be more reasonable, assuming something like this should even be allowed for infantry.

Love the idea except completely, except that if we do it for armor, we need to have one for shields. Armor is already broken as it is compared to shields. Not gunna knock the idea, but shield and armor balancing needs to happen first.

I like the idea of adding more modules but do you want armor Resistance in the high slot? here is my reasoning. If its in the high slot not only can you stack buffer but Resistance. What happens when you run into a guy with 20%-35% Resistance in armor with 500 HP in armor. He would be really really hard to kill. As a logi I all ready do this. I think a heavy should have to choose to get Resistance or Buffer or a Mix. But stacking it could be really unbalanced.
Other wise I think this would be a good module to add to the game. I personally wish they would add 5-10 new modules/equipment that do different things for both infantry and vehicles.

Why not split the resistances? Shield resistance moda in highs and armour resistance in lows.

Armour in high module and the Shield module in low module, for better balace between these two antagonistic elements
and the limit of modules in the assembly is 2, because no matter if you put the penalty will also be stacked especially for players who likes to wear suits with specialization in shield as caldaris. |

Sorry, but I disagree on your progression, and the whole reason I suggested it for armor only was to make up for shield already having a low slot module. If 8 is the max, it should be more like 5-7-8. Your progression is severely shorting the basic and advanced players. |

And weapons? And equipment? Standard and Advanced already get shafted over half the time. It's one of the reasons Proto is such a big deal. Actually making Standard viable over Proto in any way other than ISK and PG/CPU cost doesn't seem like a thing that's going to happen.
Although I wouldn't complain if it did, especially since that's primarily what I use.

remember something progressions dust 514 are driven.
Examples: Armor plates, shield recharger and energizer, knetic catalyzer, if you check their values are driven, of course if you do not want to take that into base.
But just the modules percentages dust, and of course you can do something with a modifier style damage, look good, but if you are creating this module you should create one for shield and come to think of work, it would be best armor in low slots and shield in high slot.
But in the end you take the desicion.
Thanks for your review I think I saw some things better, thanks. |
