For the entire month of December wear a front line suit and kill with milita weapons. For every set amount of kills you can receive a milita weapon blueprint. Once you exhaust all of the milita weapons, you can run the challenge again for your very own "quafe" weapons or quafe based rewards.
Also since I feel like the newbs should earn a little extra how about 500 sp per kill in a frontline suit with a milita weapon to be rewarded when the event ends?
Pros:even newbs can do it. Everyone will be in milita trying to earn those quafe weapons. Everyone has a chance to earn a quafe weapon If you're short for isk you can earn money from the matches you play while in your front line suit trying to get your reward.
Cons. Grind.
You can start by earning milita sidearms, then milita light weapons, then milita modules.
Maybe if you get enough kills with a certain milita weapon you can earn a quafe version of it. Or have the "run the kill challenge again for quafe weapons instead of milita"
Made this up on the fly. Let's just have a milita madness for the new year all this proto and officer gear is stale. And its kinda spoiling people. Yes, I agree with this. I'm still a noob to my mind, but at least I have access to ck.0 suits through FW. Even so I think fighting in frontline suits (BPOs would be good) would be a good test of everyone's abilities, and give noobs something fun to participate in. As a noob myself, I can tell you I'd love to feel like I can do more than just die a lot. :) |

Practically giving you a event idea that rewards everyone for playing milita suits and let's you earn rewards based on your ability to play in gimped gear and no one wants to offer some constructive ideas.
But no. People just browse over and continue spamming proto and officer and whine that there isn't anyone to fight.
No, it's a great idea! But how are you going to get everyone to agree with it? Even just the English speakers will be torn on this one, and then you have all the non-English speakers who are from cultures which may not understand your nuances.
I'm all for this, but we need to find a way to make sure everyone who participates does it. |

Well, I've just been doing this - I had a session playing in MLT suits, Frontline - CA mostly, but with a little Sniper - CA thrown in for fun. I was actually finding it quite invigorating and entertaining to be managing to get some kills in with just the Militia Assault Rail Rifle, when someone hit me from behind from the nearby hill. Only took out about half my shields so no big deal.
I went and changed into the Sniper - CA suit and went sniper hunting! It was REALLY easy to find this guy - he was just sitting on the slope, right there out in the open and his chevron was flashing brightly as I scanned the hill. I hit him easily but at that range, I guess the poor MLT SR didn't pack the punch I'm used to - I only winged him and he ran off, with me taking pot shots at him right across the face of the hill and into a bit of a gully. I moved and found him again, sitting right in the middle of a nanohive bubble!! I took the time to aim carefully just below the chevron and...
Well, the rest is history. I actually felt quite bad about it. I remember my early days as a sniper and the way I used to sit with a bubble right next to me thinking it was the best way to keep fully loaded... I sent him an email offering some tips, it's the right thing to do.
All this from just running MLT BPOs... :) I think I might continue with this, it's actually fun! |
