Thank you for you kind thoughts during a hard sleepless time
Most services are now back online.
We just had a major storage outage in our centralized storage infrastructure. We had IBM storage specialists on the phone with in minutes and within the hour he was down at CCP HQ helping us out getting things back online. We opened up a case with IBM supplying them with logs for analyzes and debugging as well getting our support engineers at the data center to help out with getting things back online.
Once we were back online with the storage system we had to get the databases back online and few disks in a bad state and needed to be rebuild and fixed. We then had a fallout of services not liking loosing the database and had to give them a good kick.
We had a few developers called out to help debug what was happening and they woke up gladly to help out, even the one that had a birthday day before and his wife answered the phone at 4:00 AM
We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.
We are also working hard these days on getting the TQ tech III hardware up and running. It will be fun time ahead for the next few months while we work on getting that up and running.
Thank you for your kind words and patience. This is the best gaming community

Sounds like something from Walking Dead i.e. the town is threatend by zombies and the townies are too clueless to use a shovel to dig a trench around the town.?????
So extra storage on a spare server was never there? So just yolo with whateves until it breaks and then IBM comes to the rescue?
Hey news flash Theres this thing used at data storage centers called backup data storage.

Hey there genius,
you may have noted that the data center itself went down. As in... all of it. Having backup data storage at the same location isn't helping if the ENTIRE place goes down. The only workaround there is having a remote second data storage center. Assuming that, then that could then still go down if it can't handle the same loads as the primary installation.
Also that trench idea in the walking dead was one of the dumbest things I've seen in Zombie survival fiction.

How do blackouts and brownouts work?
And the trench is from history its called a moat and was used in castles as a primary defensive tool along with a drawbridge and a gate.
