You do know its not supposed to be a sniper rifle right? Its meant for shooting HAVs which are pretty large, so if you're shooting at an HAV within the effective range of the Forge Gun, you really should not need any sort of zoom. |

You also have to keep in kind in mind the context of what you're holding its a heavy weapon that you're holding near your hip, there are no iron sights or any way to look down the the legnth of the weapon with some holographic HUD like on the AR. As such the only real way to "zoom" in is basically lean forward which would slightly increase the "zoom"
What exactly do you need a zoom for anyways? |

Like to get tanks,dropships,railguns ect from a distance I want to be able to see my target good and like I'm not getting to close to a tank. lol. |

**** man, for one the Forge is dead accurate as it is, and grow some stones. I take on tanks point blank with a swarm launcher and a scout suit, you should not be so worried about it in a Heavy if you have a properly fit suit. |

Good point on the swarm as well. Just as long as it continues to have lock on, you can get rid of the "zoom" it has for all I care. |

Thats the LAST thing the forge guns need. With their 100% accuracy, and no drop over range, they definitely do NOT need a zoom. I get literally sniped with those things from hundreds of meters away without them having zoom. Imagine if they get that... |

- Minimum Lock-On Range 10 meters - Yes, you can still free-fire it, but it will not lock on at less than 10 meters.
- Maximum Lock-On Range 200 meters - Yes, you can still fire it at long distances, but it will be ballistic, meaning un-guided. Please note that at present, target visibility starts to fade out at about 250ish meters.

Why would you even lock on at 10m? At that range pretty much everything will hit. Just as long as they don't take away the dummy firing mechanic. Its a very viable tactic to rush an HAV and unload 4 dummy fired salvos at close range. The problem with the swarm against infantry is annoying, but I'm gonna be pissed if the anti-tank aspect gets gimped by whatever changes they make. |

i think the sawrm launcher's zoom should be in a scope and have it narrow ur FoV but only let u lock on while its zoomed in. it will make it alittle more difficult to lock on and make u wanna do it from further away.... boom no more sawrmers killin ever ting |

The forge gun is not "dead accurate" infact it has the most random spread "bullet" spread in the game. It doesnt even give you a solid reticle, it gives you a something that looks like this [...........]. A large square that sucks for aiming. If you still think its accurate try shooting someone above you with a forge gun, I bet you you wont be able to hit him. |

If you got sniped by them that means you had a wall right behind you and your health was low. Unless it was a direct hit, which means the guy was pretty lucky. |

I've had forge rounds shoved down my HAV backside from half a map away while fleeing for cover. Seems to be working just fine.

I suppose they could give it very slight zoom on the order of the HMG as sort of a way of adjusting sensitivity on the fly, but nothing like the rifle or anything like that. |

disagree, the hipfire is perfect as is.
accurate enough to hit a dropship or an lav at solid range, and HAV's at any range that makes sense, while being INACCURATE enough to NOT consistently hit dropsuits even at mid-close range.
