Worthless Target wrote: I'm just gonna put this out there. I predict that Dust 514 will remain as a ps3 exclusive title until Sony no longer provides support for the PS3. Once that happens, the Dust team and all their assets will be dissolved and then CCP can go back to focusing on their primary money making game. There isn't going to be a port of any kind, and valkyrie is our replacement because CCP realized that they should stick to what they know best, and that is spaceships. They haven't pulled the plug yet because they're still getting some money out of us. If they were actually going to keep Dust 514, then we would be included in things like fan fest, or other events that involves CCP's fan base. It's also apparent that any mention of us is an embarrassed mumble and they want to just sweep us under the rug and pretend that we don't exist while at the same time trying to not say it to our faces. Logical Fallacy Referee would like a word with you.

Mortedeamor wrote:my friend just showed me it only runs at 30fps on ps4 and it drops down to 22 in some areas during certain types of fights ..why is a ps4 game running at 30fps whyyyyyyyy Was it the PS4 version that had the FPS drop to 15 when you tried to aim down sights? I feel like one of the consoles did that. That might have been patched since launch, but I know it was making a lot of players upset.

Worthless Target wrote:Think about it. When was the last time we were invited to an event for the fans? They spruced up all of their websites except for the dust website. The only news we get now is about one of the devs. The dev team has said many times that they have limitations on what they can do. Even if the dust team wants to keep the game going, why would CCP want to keep the game? The latest mention of us was in an article for Valkyrie, and they only used us as an example of what they did wrong and why it will make Valkyrie better. Their is nothing indicating that we have a future. These things are annoying, but none of them prove CCP isn't working on a port Again, a lack of news does not indicate a port is or is not in the works.
As for "Why would CCP want to keep the game?" That's kind of a silly question, isn't it? DUST can make them money. Hell, the game is profitable on a last generation console with a shrinking player population for chrissakes. Imagine if it were on a healthy, current gen platform like PC/PS4.

Worthless Target wrote:But does it really make enough money to justify a port? That is a good question. I'll point out again how this is a game on a last gen console and still manages to make money. The PC market is massive and the PS4 is the fastest growing console on the market. From a business standpoint, it would make sense.
Worthless Target wrote:They also need to pay to keep the servers up The server(singular) is called Tranquility and already supports Eve Online. That cost is something CCP pays for as part of Eve's operating budget.
Worthless Target wrote:and don't forget that Sony takes a cut of the money generated by psn store transactions. Yeah? It's roughly 30%. The "DUST is profitable" statement factors that in.
