Dude stop being a Scrub, 1 exp is better than proto, 2 we rarly salvage it so he has a point, I think I salvage 3 aldins the first time in 3 months.
3 who gives a flying f what he uses, it's his/her choose what they use in a match, weather it be a pub match or anything else it's the players choice.

Sad... You know what would be great? The ability to buy/sell/trade officer gear so the OP would be able to someday buy unused stocks off other players... 
Still it takes alot more time to aquire one by salvaging then it does by buying it, so that stock pile you speak of while sorted drastically
