New space games of EVE scale are developed with more features like 1st person and multiple environments, things EVE lacks.
If CCP fails to hold EVE player base they are done, EVE has decline and lowest online since 2007
When CCP Games has new product or they are into product they will sell it in every way possible.
On the other hand, we have silence and rare DEV and GMs now, since when we have GMs so present in here?
CCP keeps quiet to milk those who still believe
If CCP would announce future of DUST for next year - those believers would be first to quit.
Last time CCP announced future of DUST for next year was two years ago
CCP keeps silent to make believers believe based on expectations and promises that are not met.
CCP will keep silent to retain the rests of the player base
Players who donated will believe to the very last until they see the contrary that is why they are against strike
Strike to make them talk
Strike to make them move
Strike to find truth and not expectations
Strike to show we want future for this product
Strike to stop spending money on dead horse
Money is money
You prefer expectations or reality?
Pity that DEVs can't really put hands on this thing. Whoever decided to plant game on ageing console is a genius with lack of forecasting. Wrong approach since beginning was a deathly hallow for the developers to try and make it work.
1) Yes, the company spent millions on Valkyrie. It also spent millions on Dust 514, Eve Online, World of Darkness, etc. Given the thread, this seems accusational of something but lacks the context as to what.
2) Yes, the company is trying to modernize Eve. Not sure what the problem is.
3) Eve has a first person feature currently in the works on SiSi. But, then again, first person and environments weren't what made Eve popular in the first place - it was the sandbox, free market player economy, etc.
4) Systematically false. "Eve is dying" stems from looking at players active at one time on things like eve-offline, same as Dust 514 (which is also fairly misleading).
This graph shows the actual PCU which has been stable since August 2012.
5) Happened once. With World of Darkness. Which, White Wolf was acquired prior to the Summer of Rage and what not, so that's a very isolated case.
6) Dev silence is because they're working. GM activity is because Archduke is a cool bro.
7) False and stupid. It is well known why CCP keeps quiet: Not making promises they can't keep.
8) A wise man does not speak for the people, he empowers them to speak for themselves. Likewise, saying what the playerbase will do in the event of an announcement is a sure-fire way to look silly.
9) Year and a half ago, really.
10) Correction: CCP keeps silent to discontinue making promises that can't be met.
11) ......Wat?
12-17) This strike is turning into stockholm syndrome levels of cultishness. I'm almost willing to bet that you are (or were) going to follow up with "don't listen to the CPM, anything he says is lies, the strike is the only truth; cpm is scared of us"
18) Yes. Money is money. That is why it's called money.
19) I prefer reality. However, expectations are subjective.
