Have been on a plane and walking around Singapore after concluding my European holiday and it is terribly sad to find out something like this has occurred to the people of France again.

I'm not sure the solution to issues such as this is creating a generation of overly paranoid and terrified civilian soldiers. Still the heart goes out to the people of France it's truly terrible that such a thing should ever have happened. I'll be looking at contacting my French friend to make sure they are okay as soon as I get back to New Zealand.

I was there during their recent independence celebrations where they had something like 5000 members of their armed forces marching through the streets around Prague Castle after various people gave their speeches. Naturally I couldn't make out a word of it but the act itself was fascinating as well as the castle being very beautiful.

No one wants Nuclear war..... at all. However do you begrudge France for now taking steps toward what they see as 'finishing' the conflict 'you insist they seems to bear a sole responsibility for?'
I'd like to believe not because when it comes to violence and conflict morality means so very little in the face of large scale loss of human life and no moralization of 'they struck first' justifies a retaliatory act. A God that demands his people murder to affirm the nature of its existence cannot every truly be worth the credence of thought the devout offer it.

They already used yperit, why we should wait for time when they will use something stronger near our borders.
I..... don't think you want people in positions of power getting used to or thinking that is acceptable to use such weapons as a common military asset.
Moreover I don't believe that depleted Uranium rounds a requires any longer in terms of modern theoretic tank combat as the KEP or APFSDS rounds can tear penetrate the thickest of armours , flash vaporise, and then suck the crew out of a hole in their tank with a diameter the size of the 50 cent piece.
