Damn... What's wrong with this world...
You know this is just the tip to the iceberg to all our problems...?
We as a race can never go forward because we as a race put barriers up amongst ourselves. Unnecessary conflict all over.
Just a little food for thought.
Do we know the motive behind it? I'll find out in the AMs with a cup of tea when the newspaper comes.

It may belong elsewhere on a technicality but many unrelated topics are posted in GD on a daily basis. It's simply the busiest place on the forum.
Let's not argue over this in the shadow of this tragedy.
+1
Who cares where it is... A thread location is far less significant than the situation

ISIS/ISIL/ Daesh is crazy. But that means it must of been French born terrorists no?
How the flux is the world going to be in the new year? Are tensions going to be tight? ... France's "War on Terror?" (aka NATO's)
..... .... ... .. .
My real question is how is ISIS still here? Can't everyone join a side for greater good or some diplomacy (i hope)?

The motive is "simple" : France took part in the war in Syria so Daesh answered cowardly by attacking french people in crowded places :/ That's not acting cowardly that's using tactics unless of course you want a tactical advanced troop of soldiers killing more than just 148 people.... They are not facing armed soldiers here. They are attacking defenseless crowds with bombs and AK-47. How's that not acting cowardly ? Honestly i do not care about strategies here boyos. This was wrong, all its wrong. If im soldier i go fight for my coutry and people and i know i can die. If im contractor i go fight for contract and my group and i know i can die. But here, this was basicaly masacre of civil people, they should be secured and saved from this not killed.
War never changes. There's always going to be innocents caught in conflict . ISIS just took it home on France.

They need to stop treating terrorists as criminals and applying the designation of enemy combatant, not in uniform and react accordingly.
This is merely my opinion. I do NOT expect anyone to agree, or share it. Nor do i consider anyone who disagrees to be wrong. I think that's the way they are treated here in France. Thing is that they don't belong to one country, and they don't represent an army. They are just part of a terrorist group. Should they be considered as combatant for this or organized criminals ? Don't know if it really matters.. France declared war against them, so the government finally reacted accordingly ^^
Isn't France part of NATO? If yes, then an attack on France is an attack on all countries part of NATO.
USA declared war on Al-Q, so i guess France can declare war on ISIS/Daesh?

o7 from Canada, sadly our new Prime Minister won't fight so we can't help you with ISIS, but his "supportive words" are with you. I wish we could just launch a full scale war on ISIS with the entire UN's forces and get it over with.
Trudeau logic... It made no sense why he withdrew us...
I was thinking he was trying to go for a diplomatic way to ending it but... That's definitely something beyond his capabilities, firstly. Secondly, i hear nothing about him involving ISIS.
Edit:
Canada is part of NATO though... So doesn't that mean Canada's involved indirectly?

... In other news.
The comments section of the Toronto Sun say Israel might be next to encounter something like this... I'll have to wait till i get back the news paper to see the details.
Since Last night more police are patrolling Downtown Toronto supposedly... Affects us on the other side of the Atlantic, too.
Jeez... Not to sound stupid but... This is like a modern day Crusades now that I think about it -- just Muslims instead of Christians. Hopefully it doesn't become a modern day Crusade.

Wait wait wait.
I don't want to say ISIS is really to blame... (this came to mind while reading this topic)
I'm just looking at another possibility.. Help me out here. Give me a lil slack.
One of them were Syrian right? How many refugees are coming out of Syria?
Now... How many syrians are not able to enter a country/ taking "long" to get refugee status? Especially in the EU... which is next door? See what I'm getting at?
A small group of people might have taken matters in there own hands... Knowing ISIS likes to take responsibility for things they haven't done (E.G: ISIS saying they are responsible for the Russian Plane being "shot down" when it could not be destroyed by external means.) it might be everyone focusing on the wrong thing. It might be people being outraged by how they've been treated by foreign governments, so they bring their refugee reasons to these countries --Literally.
If they managed to reach any "main" country in the EU, they'd take the opportunity (The person left Greece and went into one of these "main" states of the EU: France.).
As someone else said, it might be Germany next... Not what the newspapers here been saying (Israel because they are surrounded by enemies, and they are closest to the issue)
Sadly, i don't have enough information to prove all of that but... I've been trying to look at this from a different vista... Just what if we're wrong? (I'm a process of elimination kinda guy lol)
Like if ISIS truly wanted to do something bad for everyone... They'd go for an oil refinery and hold that hostage... Now that would screw up the world for a few days/weeks... Probably months. I can't even try to predict what would happen (i basically just turned 17, i barely have 1st hand life experience)... Maybe a serious decline in the economy... Forced recession?
...Thankfully they don't take that into consideration. Hmm.

I'm dismissive of people like Islam is worse, when Christianity has the much higher running body count, and Western powers have spent the last 50 years pushing Islam to the extreme.
Wahhabism didn't get spread around on a whim, it was a policy decision by the West as part of their deal with the Saudis.
The West now reaps what it so happily sowed.
Read the complete post. I was in the process of editing it. Also, I see I'm dealing with a name calling fool. So, I will leave the arguement there. Again though, you can't pass judgment on Christianity based on the actions of ignorant people that use it for nefarious purposes. Jesus even made a point about at sort of thing both about himself and the Pharisees, who enforced Jewish law legalistically. So what, you exempt bible thumping terrorists, but not Islamic ones? The amount of hypocrisy and your attempted derision are laughable. I can and will condemn Christian extremists just as roundly as I condemn Islamic ones. I don't pretend that one is any less violent than the other, because they are not.
This is the SOURCE of problems within religion.
Religion builds up walls amongst people, not tear them down.
Religion be religion. Believe in whatever one likes
Just free your mind... The only oppression that happens comes from within oneself. It's senseless putting religion a to religion b because there's no correct answer.
Yu feel?

If there will be anither atacks it will be propably again in France or possibly in England (they have big amount of orthodox supporters too). Germany hmm i do not think so, they have great amount of trurkish people, but they are not too orthodox about religion.
Hmm... France, England, Germany... Spain, Italy? ....
I see what you mean.. Then it'll be Italy or England or France based on religion i think.

It's EXACTLY the same thing here. In order to get more power, leaders of IS used the muslim religion to build an Inquisition-like order. Punishing those who don't think the same as them.
Were all the christian inquistor? No. Are all the muslims terrorists? Of course not.
Huge +1 there.

I'm american. Also, AP is: Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada, created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. K. Here (Ontario) we have 2 levels, Academic and Applied, in grade 9-10. There are also open courses and more for really stupid people. Academic leads to University level courses in grade 11-12 and applied leads to college level courses. (by college and university level I mean it leads to college and university). There is also mixed, which is both, and workplace, which gives the basics so people can go straight to work after finishing school. I'm averaging 90% or higher right now in Academic courses.
AP is in Ontario too! St. Edmund Campion in Brampton offers AP courses.
TBH, Damned dust is making do **** poor in school... Lol i come home and I'll be like "i got time"
Then a 1hr expenditure becomes a full evening kinda thing...
Hell I'm lucky to have a low 70 average atm because i don't study or do homework... My girlfriend is tryna break me out of dust and put me back to my grade 11 years (which I REALLY need). If I don't do the homework I get closelined by physics and advanced functions.. If I don't study computer science gets me, too. Seeing all this motivates me to do better in school... Lol this week I'm trying to be super productive. Thanks PLAY n Radiant.
But dust helped me mature as a person though.. One thing I'm thankful for.
Sorry sorry xD You in the GTA?
