Just about to make a thread of my own on this. My prayers are with the victims and their families.
o7 from Canada, sadly our new Prime Minister won't fight so we can't help you with ISIS, but his "supportive words" are with you. I wish we could just launch a full scale war on ISIS with the entire UN's forces and get it over with.

laser rifles anyone? Golden, you are a sad human being. I hope that one day you find love. Everyone deserves to find love, even you. I'm happy till we have laser rifles sold locally at gun stores unless you are will to put in the research and studying of making such a thing ill buy the first one from you for 1,000$ if you give me the manual how to work it and not over heat and burn myself You can just make one. I saw a DIY video on one once, pretty nice, probably same TTK IRL as in Dust.

Also, heres a wired question, if conscription was returned, would women be drafted?

I wish we could just launch a full scale war on ISIS with the entire UN's forces and get it over with. Trudeau logic... It made no sense why he withdrew us... I was thinking he was trying to go for a diplomatic way to ending it but... That's definitely something beyond his capabilities, firstly. Secondly, i hear nothing about him involving ISIS. Edit: Canada is part of NATO though... So doesn't that mean Canada's involved indirectly? Sort of, but its up to JT in the end I think. We'll probably just support, but i don't think JT made room in his deficit budgets and spending for a revitalized military industry, his "empowering" speeches will have to be enough for now.
I heard Russia is now not our ally because we pulled out of Syria.
I think people just don't like to sacrifice anymore. Yea, it sucks to have to give up your life but it is necessary to stop people like this. Too much emphasis on "Me" and your own life in the west, not enough on others.

That whole post was basically jokes. Except for the question, I would like to ask a government leader that. I just want people to take action and get rid of ISIS, I understand the complications of a ground war especially in the middle east.

ISIS is taking over and with this 'immigration crisis' happening at the same time it is easy for ISIS to get members into all of the EU with no background checks taking place where they are shipped and bussed over to Germany and France etc in greater numbers.
Moving livestock from one country to another is harder.
I do expect more attacks to take place, its not that we have to worry about them in the middle east (i would still bomb the hell out of them, go russia) but really worry about who the hell is coming over in the boats but the problem is the EU is worried about being PC and not being classed as racist.
The french people are yet again paying in blood for the weakness of the EU and it will only get worse.
Sympathies to the french people. That's partially true in my opinion. We in Italy have at least 2-3 boats of irregular immigrants everyday. But still, at least for what I know, none of the irregular immigrants has been involved in any of the recent attacks in Europe. The problem are the people who were born and raised in Europe/US. That's why you can't really say who is the terrorist and who's not. Also, France has always had the strongest presence of immigrants from middle east, and many of them are even 3rd/4th generation French. It is not so easy. In a "traditional" war you already know who is the enemy. Now, you don't know who they are. They don't have a specific nationality, nor they can be easily recognized. You can decide to attack IS in their "home" but the problem is not IS itself. As someone before me said, the problem here is religion and its interpretation. Don't get me wrong, I'm not even atheist, but religion, may be (and has certainly been) strumentalised in order to manipulate the (ignorant) masses. And when you manipulate people from the second largest religion, the problem becomes huge. That's why EU can't do nothing. We have seen way too many wars because of religion to let this happen again. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/top-10-reasons.htm

The comments section of the Toronto Sun say Israel might be next to encounter something like this... I'll have to wait till i get back the news paper to see the details.
Since Last night more police are patrolling Downtown Toronto supposedly... Affects us on the other side of the Atlantic, too. Honestly, Canada doesn't fair well dealing with terror on a large scale in our borders (FLQ for example). So i think tons of people are paranoid here, too. Especially the racist ones in the GTA (my mother for example).
Jeez... Not to sound stupid but... This is like a modern day Crusades now that I think about it -- just Muslims instead of Christians. Hopefully it doesn't become a modern day Crusade. A fellow Torontonian!

I don't want to say ISIS is really to blame... (this came to mind while reading this topic)
I'm just looking at another possibility.. Help me out here. Give me a lil slack.
One of them were Syrian right? How many refugees are coming out of Syria?
Now... How many syrians are not able to enter a country/ taking "long" to get refugee status? Especially in the EU... which is next door? See what I'm getting at?
A small group of people might have taken matters in there own hands... Knowing ISIS likes to take responsibility for things they haven't done (E.G: ISIS saying they are responsible for the Russian Plane being "shot down" when it could not be destroyed by external means.) it might be everyone focusing on the wrong thing. It might be people being outraged by how they've been treated by foreign governments, so they bring their refugee reasons to these countries --Literally.
If they managed to reach any "main" country in the EU, they'd take the opportunity (The person left Greece and went into one of these "main" states of the EU: France.).
As someone else said, it might be Germany next... Not what the newspapers here been saying (Israel because they are surrounded by enemies, and they are closest to the issue)
Sadly, i don't have enough information to prove all of that but... I've been trying to look at this from a different vista... Just what if we're wrong? (I'm a process of elimination kinda guy lol)
Like if ISIS truly wanted to do something bad for everyone... They'd go for an oil refinery and hold that hostage... Now that would screw up the world for a few days/weeks... Probably months. I can't even try to predict what would happen (i basically just turned 17, i barely have 1st hand life experience)... Maybe a serious decline in the economy... Forced recession?
...Thankfully they don't take that into consideration. Hmm.
ISIS has control of oil things and sells it for profit.

What I linked quotes the Qu'ran. Maybe you should have read it jackass.
I'm dismissive of people like Islam is worse, when Christianity has the much higher running body count, and Western powers have spent the last 50 years pushing Islam to the extreme.
Wahhabism didn't get spread around on a whim, it was a policy decision by the West as part of their deal with the Saudis.
The West now reaps what it so happily sowed.
Read the complete post. I was in the process of editing it. Also, I see I'm dealing with a name calling fool. So, I will leave the arguement there. Again though, you can't pass judgment on Christianity based on the actions of ignorant people that use it for nefarious purposes. Jesus even made a point about at sort of thing both about himself and the Pharisees, who enforced Jewish law legalistically. So what, you exempt bible thumping terrorists, but not Islamic ones? The amount of hypocrisy and your attempted derision are laughable. I can and will condemn Christian extremists just as roundly as I condemn Islamic ones. I don't pretend that one is any less violent than the other, because they are not. Extreme religion is the extreme following of a religion. Extreme Christianity is showing love to everybody and share the gospel. Extreme Islam in my opinion is be kind to insiders but press more forcibly on others. I'm not muslim so I don't know all the inside stuff.
I do know however that there is in muslim teaching, verses that clearly state to kill unbelievers and force them to submit and accept allah. As for your quotes clearly stating not to murder and stuff, I think that would be a more inside thing.
I saw a post one time saying that the muslims who say Islam is a religion of peace are the ones who only carry it as a title and don't really practice it, like a lot of christians on the west. Now, with my version of extreme religion this kind of makes sense, not all Christians are extremists and don't practice all of the bibles teachings, maybe they curse or don't really do anything, like a lot of Christians I know.. Therefore, not all muslims are extremists, not all muslims go around threatening to kill people if the don't convert, some pick out the good bits and some just carry the title, like every muslim I know. Some people from both religions are misguided and do things the religion doesn't promote. No one is perfect, hypocrisy is impossible to avoid in any organization.
I dont want to get into this forum argument so i won't reply to questions other than clarification.

This is murder, an act forbidden by law.
Further, it is mass murder carried out in military fashion with intent to attack the fundamental rights and privileges enjoyed by the french.
In other times this would be declared an act of war.
It may have been done ostensibly for religious reasons. It may be the west is "reaping what it has sown."
These insurgent bastards are murderers. They are undeclared, un-uniformed enemy combatants on french soil. Screw the religious connotations, justifications and the bs.
An attack is an attack is an attack. Now the question is, will the french be the first to bring this sh*t to a screeching halt and actually take off the kid gloves?
All smartass jokes about the french at war aside, the french aren't lightweights when they don't have a sudden bumrush of ten tank divisions bombing across the country from a (theoretically) non-hostile neighbor.
If the french government acts, this isn't going to be a debate about christians versus muslims. It's going to be a sovereign nation retaliating against a rogue would-be nation fostering insurgency and murder within her borders.
It may be religious to the terrorists, but to the regular soldiers, it's just another fu**ing meatgrinder. It won't matter who the bad guys pray to at the end of the day.
Question remains: who says "screw it, no more playing nice" first? i think we should all take the kids gloves off idc that this attack was on the french people an attack on France is an attack on america and all the allied countries should retaliate and we should all take the kids gloves off ESPECIALLY US AMERICANS we should be using this slaughter as an excuse to make an example out of them using it as an excuse for all out warfare hit them so hard so fast that they NEVER ever again think that they can get away with this **** again....idc if civilians get caught in the cross fire guess what 150 french civilians were just murdered. and some of them i knew (which i just found out a few hours ago i lost people i love in this,....i want the middle east to bleed for this i want it to burn Yeah we saw how that went with Nixon in Vietnam... Also, AP is: Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada, created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. K.
Here (Ontario) we have 2 levels, Academic and Applied, in grade 9-10. There are also open courses and more for really stupid people. Academic leads to University level courses in grade 11-12 and applied leads to college level courses. (by college and university level I mean it leads to college and university). There is also mixed, which is both, and workplace, which gives the basics so people can go straight to work after finishing school.
I'm averaging 90% or higher right now in Academic courses.
