They look like they're based on the Valkyrie suits. Probably the work of lead character artist Andrei Cristea.
Armor Suit Blue type

Heavy Armor Suit Red type
These appear very Caldari to me.

If anything it's a lot closer to something you'd associate with Mass Effect Armors.
