the only think I find annoying about the steering is that the left and right direction on the controller is dependent on if you are moving forward or backwards. i think that no matter which way you are moving in the game forward or backwards left on the controller should be left and right on the controller should be right haha. |

considering R1 is the tanks cannon, i think they could easily map L1 as gas and L2 as reverse. |

Honestly, I think it works fine how it is. The handling could use some improvement, but patch notes for the next release says that's been worked on. Controls themselves are fine, this isn't Midnight Club. |

Dargon, L1 - Zoom. I dun remember what L2 is.
And the Single Stick is great for a tank, though LAVs should use two.
And this thread should be in Feedback/Requests. |

Or we could do something that no PS 3 game has done before and have user defined keys, OMG. |

i've played a bunch of games with vehicles in them, honestly, for tanks, gas and steering have allways been left anolg stick, though for the LAV, i think they're right, it could use some ajusting |

that doesnt bother me much honnestly. What bothers me is the fact that the view on the lavs is automatically centered. |

Borderlands uses the same controls, and it takes a while to get used to. But now im pretty accurate with it. But I think they should give an option for alternate vehicle controls, to be more open for people that arent used to it |

The jeep (LAV?) in this game is second only to the real warthog in Halo in terrms of how awful it is to drive. It's been a long time since I put any vehicle on its roof while not goofing around and driving on level ground.
Gas and stick on same key is soooooo 1980's. It's not like we don't have other more sensible key mappings available on the PS3 controllers. |

Make: L1 gas L2 brake/reverse That would also homogenize decently with the DropShip L1 - up, L2 - down controls.
Personally I'd also like to see a Horn/Klaxon so people get the message to get in when the vehicle pulls up/drops down next to them and starts honking. |

Just FYI, I think the vehicle control scheme works like it does to easily work with the Sharpshooter's nav stick. I think there is nothing wrong with it and is actually quite simplistic. That said, the controls could be more responsive but that's already said to be improved with the upcoming build. Of course, with the controls like they are you can't fishtail but if the responsive is improved, you could probably pull off some cool maneuvers with a flick of the stick. Who knows anyway? All the controls could be configurable by release so this could end up being a invalid concern. |
