Because people are complaining about kb/m and cheaters...and PC complain about aim assist and ps4 holding us back..what we need is stop bickering and fighting with eachother and come together and show support for both so CCP knows we support both instead of them having to hide and think "what if they don't like our choice"...we seriously need to work together not against I completely agree. Either way it goes, I'd be happy for any port, though I don't understand why people think it has to be one or the other.
I'd love for both (other developers do it) and maybe they'd be setting the stage for cross platform while still incorporating into EVE (it's possible, just never done before and would take a lot of work)
Realistically though, I'd be okay with any sort of future for the game.

Points a and b are just..general statements to the mechanical makeup of pc vs ps4. I understand you are a pc diehard so I won't comment on it, also because I don't care where it goes. I have both pc and ps4 so those points are irrelevant to me personally.
C: people already use kbm on ps3 and even on ps4. It all depends on your play style. Some people also get the xbox style controllers for playstation. This point really doesn't mean much. I prefer controllers to kbm when there are less "buttons" (if you will) involved. Once you start getting into the twenties of hotkeys, that's when I like to whip out my Razer Naga.
D: cheaters is being very vague, can you elaborate? if you are speaking in terms of modding etc, ccp does monitor how eve is played and i can guarantee you this would be a point of interest for them to monitor to make for fair fights between cross platform.
E: Sony actually has not confirmed if they will be making a ps5 yet. IF they do it won't be released until we are in the 2020's and even then, by the time CCP (i'm sure) will have been smart enough to contact sony during their development to put the game on the most optimal generation of console. There is also this thing called PlaystationNOW that is in the works to allow you to rent, purchase, and play old games on current gen console.
I think it is safe to say that anyone saying "PS4 port" are just using the current gen console name as a place holder. It takes time to develop games for consoles so yeah it could take quite a few years to get to that point. What people mostly want to know is that it's being worked for future gameplay. That being the case, if it were to go cross platform, obviously PC release would be first as they probably already have it partially coded for it and are familiar with the PC game coding. As for PS4, Sony went with a new coding mechanism than what they used with PS3 (because of obvious performance and hardware changes.) Also, Sony has talked about staying with the PS4 model but just upgrading the hardware in terms of graphics cards and processors, etc.
This is just a constructive response to your points. Again, I personally don't care what platform it goes to. It would be awesome for dust to be cross platform and it is possible especially with the ways consoles are being designed today vs how they were designed back when PS3 was released. One thing to remember is that PS3 was the turning point for consoles. It was the first fully online console Sony had made so there was a lot of room for improvement which they have definitely proved capable of with the PS4 system in itself
