I plan on getting on EVE and spamming in the DUST alliance chat on that day for people to get offline.
I have also already contacted a couple of other alliance leaders who deal with a lot of Dust players and sent them this thread.

For now, what you guys doing is just way too late. It will be a baby fart in a ocean. No one will hear it or smell it. And thats a shame
I really wanted to yell nay sayer at you but then you got all logical and common sensical and what not.
Ultimately tho a strike has the potential to push many players away permanently cause declines in revenues forcing CCP to make a move if they want to remain profitable.
Will a single day strike cause this mysterious domino effect? Nope.
Will CCP worry about the same thing happening a couple more times with growing intensity as the player base naturally shrinks on top of that? I would guess so but there's no blue tag on my pic so think for yourself there.

The showing that the community is willing to come together in an attempt to send CCP a message. This creates the necessity to look at future similar activities which are in no way good for CCPs bottom line.
Players who don't know about this spending even more amount of time searching until they give up and move on possibly to never come back. Trust me right now the last thing CCP wants is more players leaving than is already happening.
Just a tiny amount more AUR left unspent meaning it stays on their liabilities sheet meaning that is less money they can show investors to rationalize why they have been stewing in nothingness for so long making the company look bad.
The simple fact of it is companies only care about balance sheets at the end of the day so having the community show that they are willing to threaten that balance sheet should the mistreatment from upper level management continue sends a very strong message.

Alright here another questions. If hitting ccp in the wallet is the plan why not plan
this around an event or a holiday break? Doesn't it make more sense to do it doing those
times? The timing for this is really random.
Fallout 4 was just released.
Star wars battle front is coming on the 17th.
Many other games on next gen are going strong and pulling players away. The timing is meant to build in with the natural loss of players which is already starting and will only grow as more people grab up black friday deals on PS4s and run away as well.
I have already jumped to PS4 but still come back to Dust every day for a couple of battles and a PC here and there. I know personally that leading up to the holiday sales there are tons of players who plan on making the move as sales happen.

Unfortunately I only have the patience to do that for one day as it is quite a bit of flying and I think letting people know on the day of would be more beneficial.

It is quite simple.
A move off of the PS3 was announced and then later went vaporware status.
The PS3 is constantly scapegoated for the bad start we got on UE3 and for reduced developer resources.
We have stewed in the same "update" pattern for nearly the entire life of this game. It is no stretch of the imagination to say that 1.3 will primary involve more skins, a few more items able to be traded, more "balancing" weapons, a few tweaks to some suits, and if some miracle occurs maybe we get some different color vehicles. This is not progress and is really just more backwards than forwards. This is not Rattati or CPM's fault. This is CCP's fault and maybe even some fault on Rouge tho none of us have a clue on that. The simple fact is Dust has been dumped on by CCP for almost 2 years now and they seem to be quite happy with allowing us to run in circles why they farm all the cash they can out of us and stay silent to allow some hope to fuel that cash.
Enough is enough.
If you want CCP to stop enabling ******* behavior then you should be the last one to login on that day. Their silence only further fuels rumor mongering and asinine debates based on nothing but theory.

I am thinking the encouragement of a general long-term Aurum boycott may be in order and help our cause. Ccp gave us free aurum so your argument is not valid I mean we will be discouraging spending real money on DUST in its current state. Look how many people say they would start spending money again if CCP were more straightforward, confirmed a port, or at least stopped monetising the game and instead worked more on lag, bugs, glitches and content.
That boycott has been going on for a long time for a lot of people. I for one have not spent cash in a minimum of 4 months after being into 4 digits on money spent before that.
To be clear I have no problem with monetizing but I do have a problem with shrinking the developer team and then committing the majority of the remaining resources to only cash grabs and things that can play a dual role of performance and cash grabbing.
