I got one shot by a railgun, MLT AT THAT. Nerf please.
Never mind a railgun is lucky to come out with more than 10 kills in a match this way.
Forget the fact that it isn't easy to land a direct shot, generally requiring multiple shots to land just the one killing blow (or give up)
Let's ignore the guy going 25 - 0 with a railgun or AR, cause a rail gun killed me ONCE the entire match.
I find it incredible that you would call the railgun OP due to one instance in which you were killed by it! I've been playing this game for a VERY long time and have been focused mainly on tanks in this time. Railguns at that.
I'm well aware of it's limitations and strengths. You sir are not. Do me a favor, got grab a MLT tank, slap a railgun on it, and get a kill with it. And in the process, please note the number of shots it took to get this kill. Targets that stand perfectly still don't count btw.
I don't know about the rest of you but if a tank does magically manage to kill me with a railgun, I get mad. I get mad because I of all people know better, therefore it must have been a lucky shot. And thus, that tank shall no longer exists for the entirety of the match.
Or, you know, I like, shrug it off and continue on cause I know that it's quite a rare occurrence.

A balancing solution that relys less on straight math with the mechanics as they are and more on changing up the meta might be just what's needed. So you can stay out of the conversation, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be had.
I've screamed it for a long time now, hardeners last far too long, especially where the maddie is concerned. The strength of hardeners is fine, but 45 seconds is like forever in the maddies case. |

Oh yes, skilled or not you aren't getting me with that rail while I'm on foot. Unless I'm blindsided or surprised.
In any case, I won't have it. That tank will die, but I generally give them at least one more chance to make that same mistake again! |

I've screamed it for a long time now, hardeners last far too long, especially where the maddie is concerned. The strength of hardeners is fine, but 45 seconds is like forever in the maddies case. The hardener remark was in reply to nerfing the dr granted to 30%, not the time of activation. So...again maybe...I wouldn't be opposed to that change nearly as much as I was to the decreasing DMg resistance, I do think that the arguments I've heard for bringing the vehicle system closed to chromosome, or else make vehicles perform better based on how many passengers are inside would both be better ideas...or at least worth considering.
Armor hardeners were at 25% at one time, and it wasn't enough to make them even halfway viable. The DR variable has been tweaked forever and really should be left alone and other variables adjusted. As DR isn't the only variable involved with hardeners but the only one ever touched.
Cooldown and uptimes have remained the same (minus the gunnie CD time) since the first complete overhaul of tanks. I mean imagine if armor hardeners lasted 30 seconds opposed to 45 seconds with max skills. I honestly don't think they would seem nearly as invincible and severely limit their time getting into and out of a hot zone. |
