Cal assault isn't OP, he's talking about Gallente Factional Warfare, this is a generic comment, some people believe Gallente assault is OP since the buff. It's so obvious you didn't read past the title unless Summa did a slick ninja edit.

When I'm running CK0 with RR I wreck GK0s. Cal assaults with range and op shielding are untouchable. Loose your shield just duck for a sec and boom you're full while that GK0 is still struggling with overall health. If in cqc matches wreck em with scouts and freedom hmgs. They did get a buff but not what Cal got with shields.

I would agree. I have seen match after match where my Caldari side have been trounced time and again. Very discouraging and demoralising.

On another note, though, I've been told just today that it's all a big lie - the matching system puts you on whatever team it needs to, in order to balance the match, and just tell you that you're fighting for the Caldari. Have any of you any insights into this? I've noticed, for instance, that while the matches are populating, I will often be on the Gallente side which I took to be simply an artefact of the matching system, as by the time the match started, my team was renamed State Peacekeepers. Is this all just an elaborate hoax?

For me, the only thing that makes Dust "real" to me is the FW - I'm an EvE player and we're very serious about FW there. I'd love to think that Dust FW is real, but it seems it may not be....

You have got to be kidding me. I been playing GFW for the last week and not one person can get more than 5 kills while cone con papas are using officer to wreck going 40 to 50+. Iv tried taking one of them on and they out damage me every time.

So idk what you are on but i want it too and i want to be in your winning circle since losing all the time sucks. We dont even get a standing just for participating.

I haven't been around long enough to determine which players and corps are typically Caldari and which are Gallente, so I've been going by the name of the team which is always correct by the time the match starts. But you say you see you're on the same team as a bunch of Caldari. Can you identify them as that or are you just going by the team name? If you can identify them as Caldari, perhaps that indicates you are actually fighting for Caldari, just the game system is telling you you're fighting for Gallente?

Like you I am determined to only fight for my chosen faction. I would not at all be happy with finding out I'm actually fighting Gallente. I frankly thought the possibility was ridiculous when I first heard it. How could CCP be so crass as to do this, just to "balance" a match? But the more I think about it, the more I wonder.
