What do you feel are the biggest problems with the game right now? Perhaps a list of 5 or 10? Things like BPOs, officer gear, certain/specific mechanics, lag, teambuilder, gamemodes, etc.
I'm curious if we could start crowdsourcing some constructive solutions.

NPE - There is no tutorial for them and the SP gap between the New Players and the Vets is way to high. Yes, people will say that they have it easier due to the Warbarge and increased caps, however they need at least a level 4 Warbarge before they begin getting more SP. Not to mention most New Players will only get 100-300 WP per match on average once they are out of academy. The SP gain from such low WP is minimal.
Sentinels Low TTK - Sentinels used to be something that made the solo player sh.t themselves, and now we can be taken out by almost any assault in CQC. This should not be the case in a 1v1 situation. I understand there is a fine line between fixing the TTK against Sentinels and making Sentinels OP, however I just feel that Sentinels are becoming less and less viable.
Gallente Sentiel vs Amarr Sentinel - Amarr tanking philosophy is stand and deliver, which means they shoukd be bricked tank and take the punishment (and of course have a Minmatar slave to rep them). The Gallente philosophy is to rep through the pain using high armour reps. This is not the case currently. An Amarr can both out brick and out rep a Gallente Sentinel, simultaneously. Sure, the Gallente have that extra low slot, we can throw another damage mod in, but we can't follow the Gallente tanking philosphy.

The essence of the complaints sum up to perceptions of advantage (or inversely a state of being disadvantaged.) OGear and stomping are all symptoms as are ,again inversely, quitting and afking.
The problem is power creep in a capitalistic sense. Isk and SP pool. With SP comes skill. Therefore the highest echelon is populated by the wealthiest players with the most access to gear and the most isk.
In the classic sense the weaker mercs are at a disadvantage (God help the newbs) because they risk more loss with every battle. -Lower ability to squad (lower quality teammates, if any) -Less incentive to run top notch gear -Lower likelyhood of a win -Lesser likelyhood to maintain profitability
The more powerful mercs risk less and less. -Greater ability to squad with high quality teammates) -More incentive to run top gear (less likelyhood of death) -Much greater likelyhood of a win -Near guarantee of profitability.
If there was ANY fix to this it would be to limit Corporation size and restrict access to alliances. This would create more opposing factions and generate more risk to high end players.

This statement is one I have fundamental prroblems with.
Each suit should have it's dominant role where it excels, however there should never be any situation where it is balanced so another suit cannot defeat it.
As a sentinel player, I feel there should be no situation where defeating me should require 2v1. If I am able to set up my strengths so I have the advantage, another player should reasonably WANT to bring a buddy to tackle me.
But player skill is made irrelevant if every circumstance is a binary situation. We aren't going to get a hard paper/rock/scissors situation because at that point may as well just make DUST an RTS like Command & Conquer.
It's the same with vehicles, if you have the 1v1 win button then it doesn't matter how much of a clever badass your opponent is, you win. Situations like that should never be given a place in an FPS game unless it's some bizarre, destiny-esque raid boss mechanic.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

BORING - Easily spend 10 minutes in quarters waiting to fight something. With end game fights you literally have to wait days. The absolute lack of action really can not be compared to any other video game I know.
Nerf / Buffs - They are much less bad now but this constant "balancing" fight is just played out. We have had the same weapons and the same vehicles for well over a year and we still have to "balance"
The multitude of little bugs - It just gets tiring constantly fighting sprint glitches, terrain that turns into glue, hit detection magically not counting shots, and so on. You really almost can not get through a battle without encountering multiple bugs.
Redundant - This goes back to boring but qualifies for its own line item. A lobby shooter with no lobbies and no changing up matches in which you constantly fight the same exact people spamming the same exact gear. Add to that the meager selection of maps and you can expect 8 out of 10 matches to be EXACTLY the same as the rest.
All in all the game feels like an ALPHA. It is just horribly incomplete and feels like it is making absolutely no progress. Add to that CCPs silence policy which makes it feel like we will never make it out of alpha and you have a really bad scenario.

One complaint I can clearly see is being outmatched simply because the guy you're shooting at has objectively better gear than you (ie Officer/Proto, etc). I think we could leverage the Academy and Militia gear to somewhat alleviate this problem, in addition to taking steps to build an Industry-type of feature that EVE has, and finally bringing down the current variety & tiers of gear to acceptable levels.
I call this a three-pronged approach:
- Academy Queue
Make Academy available for all players to join, but the only gear/vehicles that can be used is Militia. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. This removes any difference in gear-discrepancy and players are only outmatched by more skillful players, allows for more casual play, and perhaps balanced teams or quicker queuing.
- Industry
I do feel that Industry should have been expanded upon in the game ages ago, and apparently some basic steps are being taken to introduce it with "Simple Crafting" using regular salvage from games. This section itself has a couple steps: BPOs to Manufacturing Blueprints Have Blueprints (Militia BPOs only,to begin with) actually be blueprints that have to be used to manufacture the items themselves. We can look to EVE for inspiration, which would provide a plethora of new skills to sink SP into, make use of salvage, creates a (small) potential source of income for newbs, and sets the stage for later expansion into T1 (explained below). Material Efficiency, Time Efficiency, and Components, Invention, Research, Wastage-Factor should all be added to an Industrialist's vocabulary and should all basically take after their EVE counterparts. Militia BPOs Sold for Isk I'm not sure whether it would be a good idea to still sell Militia BPOs for AUR, and might be counterproductive. Instead, they could be seeded on the market for a fixed ISK price in order to contribute to the Manufacturing process.
- EVE-Styled Market Window
This is a big one that I feel everyone could benefit from and would make for a more efficient exchange of goods. You have your Buy-Orders and Sell-Orders, allowing players to see how much of an item is on the market, what they're selling for, what the spread is/how liquid a market is, and much MUCH more. A basic feature of this as well is setting Price Ceilings via NPCs seeding items on the market like we currently have now. With a more efficient exchange of goods, prices of items can be brought DOWN and make gear less costly for everyone. In the context of Militia, this makes losses much more palatable due to a potentially vast industry created from Manufacturing.
This is a rough idea I thought of that could help to begin alleviating some problems that people have, namely getting stomped because of great differences in gear. This idea also in no way affects the current playstyles of Basic, Advanced, Proto, and up and is exclusive to Militia to begin with.
Depending on how something like this would turn out (hopefully positively), you could see a possible future reduction in the levels of gear by removing seeding of Basic, Adv, Proto, etc. from the market and introducing a flat T1 version of gear that could also be manufactured in the same way as Militia. Any players that would have Basic, Adv, Proto, etc would keep that gear, but couldn't buy them from the NPC market any more (only other players). Over time, the stocks of those items would run out and leave us with only T1 (or supposedly rare Officer).

I do not realize. We still have ridiculous lag. We still have flat maps. We still have invisible walls. We still have frame drops.
And that is not because ps3 like console, helvete that console can handle other games with better assets and implements in. Question is why CCP cannot achieve that.
If you take look on old build it was great, not like last few years more and more buggy implements.
And before you start with how its Ps3 issue.
Mirrors Edge - Better graphics with full flow movement system / no framedrops Motorstorm - Falling building boyo, fully destructablbe script of maps Borderlands - reall time spawn of generated enemies and weapons MAG - 256 players on one filed in real time

I will continue to quote this until you address it.
I know there are games on the PS3 that have been implemented better. Wonderful! It doesn't change the fact that the PS3 is old tech and is being sunset. PC/PS4 + making DUST more stable/better optimized is how to ensure this game survives.

No you do not understand. Main point is do you trust someone who messed up concept of game and after two years (or how many) did not fix it? If same team what make dust 514 will make dust 2.0/legion/port you will another portion of crapware for sure. And honestly i will better go for fix on ps3 thant invest my time/money in same thing just with better graphix.
That is what i meant ;)

If the staff can't get it right on the PS3 , how on God's green earth could they get it right on the 4 and the four is current gen which is outdated already since there is already talk about the PS5 and that was last year .
You people can make up any excuse you want as to why this game runs like crap , lack of resources , lack of development , lack of staff numbers , lack of attention ... you could go on and on because this game just doesn't get the support it deserves and that's because CCP is a one trick pony and will run EVE with " laser focus " until someone develops a game to challenge it and then games like this one just won't exist anymore because it's taking attention from EVE .
This game is just a way to make extra cash and until it becomes more then more shouldn't be expected .
It gets zero attention , zero development , every excuse as to why it's not excelling and the PS3 has zero to do with it and magically porting it to the PS4 would not magically solve the problems of the game but will highlight how inept CCP as a development company is and like they even said , " No more rogue weddings ." and porting this game to the PS4 would be bigger because it will loose base from not everyone having a PS4 , look at the forums and you see the same players , look in game and you see the same players and with the economy in shambles , people have more pressing issues then acquiring a PS4 to play one game that runs like crap and gets zero support and has a crap ton of years old issues and bugs from the lack of attention it gets .
You players that defend the glaring issues are no doubt EVE players because no one else excepts such B.S. about why this game is still in the state it was in 3 years ago , in fact in worse working condition .
Porting this game would solve ZERO issues and would create an even greater glaring one , CCP inept nature concerning DUST 514 .
It's not EVE so they just don't care , look at the events , look at the fanfest's and look at the attention that Dust receives and those issues have zero to do with the PS3 . Yes it's old but in three years we will be seeing further talk about the PS5 , so all the hub bub about nothing is taking away from the REAL issues of the game and that's just simply lack of support from the company .
Teamwork is really important - said the Tyrannosarus Rex from Kung Fury .

I agree with your post almost completely, but without this part. Because EVE players do not care about PS4. If they want Dust on PC, it's because they never played. If they did played they want CCP to hire company that will make for them Project Leagion on PC more likely.
