IT'S A TRAP!!!!
no. wait. that's General Akbar. and he never calls.
...
sigh. i wish he would call.
i miss the way he used to whisper goodnight to me when we first started our long-distance relationship---the way his voice would gargle out sweet nothings, warning me of dark alley ways ...because one might be a trap. he would always note to be wary of random cheese. because it might be the setting ...of a trap. and the way he said, "i love you, my dear" before closing his large fishy eyes to rest each night.
but that too, was a trap. you trapped my heart, you seductive creature with your slick flesh so oily to my touch. how could i resist you? you knew this game, and i knew the rules, but still i fell for you ...and your own trappings. irony, this, that for all your warnings i still fell for you.
i still fell ...for you.
i once named you my heart. now, i name you my heartache. my General Heartache. my sweet, sweet heartache.
sigh.
... i wish he would call....

Buy DS and play on PC, why not? Also EVE playerbase will be interested which is far more important then few thousand players in here and it will diversify their EVE life which will bring spice into community/CCP relationship. See what I mean? But what about those Dust Players that can't afford a new PC to play dust on? They cost like over 300 dollars bruh. Ps4 is over 300 your point?
okok. sorry for the diversion. sorta. ;) budget gaming PC info with a link to sub-$500 builds in the second paragraph. just for reference or a starting point. not for nothing, but i actually WORK on my pc and earn an income. if you're college level, they're invaluable for research and classwork too. i know that this is not the topic of the OP, but it is what it is and is severely overlooked when negating the price of PCs. if your sole existence in life is gaming, and you never plan to eat or earn a decent income in a tech-centric economy, then by all means, keep the conversation 1-dimensional.
*edit* cuz i forgot the link. der....

I don't care really, one way or the other what the next platform is TBH (huge assumption on all our parts that there will even be a next platform). Just it seems a little silly to think that whatever player draw the console can pull wouldn't be just the same on PC. Players discovered DUST however they discovered it. PC gamers would happen upon it just as similarly would they not? Do console players not get bored with their games just as PC gamers do? Seriously? It's culture, human nature, or whatever you want to ascribe that to but the platform really isn't a factor. Only consolers can care about a game? 4realzors?
Even the idea that it's the console that draws players to EvE is rather silly. Does it? Sure. I'd argue it's less the console that bridges the connection and more the game genre itself. Provide a f2p FPS shooter on any platform and that game will draw a particular gamer---one that a strategic space sim would not. Regardless of the platform, it's the addition of game genre variety that brings attention to the developer by gaming personalities that might otherwise never be aware of the developer's existence.
The game appeals to a niche market. Some of that market only have consoles, some only PC, some both and don't give a sh!t to the petty squabbles between the two "classes."
TL/DR: I do not disagree with you; however, to imply the effect is restricted to console only is ...narrow-minded at best.

Dreis ShadowWeaver wrote:OP, you need to make a list of players confirmed to be striking or this strike will have little impact and die.
of all the 20 or so that replied? Teasing. Seriously though, if you want this to be something even just sort of for real, are any corp CEOs passing the word along to the underlings? It's one thing for a person to be a no-show (not much of one thing, but still...) and a completely other thing if entire corps revolt en masse.
just sayin'

Are you serious? This thread... I get the intent, just seems haphazard and pointless because of it. Power to them ...i guess.
